Weekly Wrap Up #86

Reading time 4 mins

mvHello Lovelies! Welcome to my weekly wrap up!

I only have one thing on my mind right now….BEA. Not the conference itself, but the drive there, the distance from the hotel to the venue, what am I going to wear, the parking conundrum, the finance stretching, getting along with Belle in the car for 13 hours…. All of these things in my brain on repeat, making me miss the fun of this current weekend.

The only thing I am not at all worried about is standing in line to get autographs. Am I the only one who doesn’t really care about signatures? I feel like I should be more excited about meeting authors, but I just get flashbacks to BTAF and I don’t want to go through that again. It was okay, but not really worth waiting in line for. I feel like a lot of the books will be ARCs anyways, who cares if it is signed?

Speaking of this weekend, Happy Mother’s Day to all you Moms out there!!! I am scheduled to work, but that’s okay.  I am really okay with working this weekend. I get to go to Chicago on Tuesday, (aaaand back to my mental loop of worry). I wish someone would make me pancakes for breakfast, but if not that’s okay. I’ll just ask for pancakes for dinner if I can’t get them for breakfast on Sunday. What’s your Mother’s Day wish?

In a few days I will be celebrating my 2 Year Blogoversary. Please stop by this week and enter the giveaways I have lined up.

This Thursday the new Beyond the Books will be posted. This week we are discussing Tattoos. Do you have any tattoos? Why or why not? Tell us about one of your tattoos and what it means.

13 hours in a car sounds like hell but you guys over the pond have much better roads and more sedate speed limits plus you have an ample amount of iHOPs to stop at.

I have a few autographed books none by my fave authors (no that is a lie, I have a cute message from a fab author on one), I would be really excited if I bagged one of them but otherwise I feel I like my books nice and clean!!

Have a great Mother’s Day even though we had it in the UK a few months ago I feel I will celebrate again!!

I’m sure the drive will go well – I actually enjoy long drives with the family, because we can easily chat about things we might not always discuss 🙂
I have some authors I’m really looking forward to meeting in Chicago, but most of all, I’m really excited about spending time with bloggers!! And I’ll have to show you my tattoos 😉
Drive carefully! See you on Wednesday 😀

Hope the trip to BEA goes well and I’m insanely jealous that a stack of book bloggers will be there to meet up! I’m hoping to see a lot of pictures so I can live vicariously through them!

That drive is a bit much. I remember a long drive to Orlando for band one year. Our bus driver drove through the night and we arrived in less than 24 hours. I’ve done two long trips to Ft. Benning, and one to Acme, Pennsylvania. The thing that gets to me the most on those kind of long drives is the leg room and ability to move about. I hope you can put your worries aside and enjoy the trip!

We survived the trip to Chicago. It wasn’t so bad. I am glad I chose to drive so I could have more time with Belle.
