Weekly Wrap Up #154 ~I am not okay.

Reading time 3 mins

mv Hello Lovelies! Welcome to my weekly wrap up!

I am so close to putting that final piece together for my secret project. I will probably be making an announcement next week sharing what my project is. Maybe. Also, it just occurred to me that some of YOU might have some ideas/resources/advice that I could use at this point. So yea, I will probably be sharing my secret with you next week. Maybe.

This week my household had major drama. I don’t want to get too much into it because it has mostly passed, but I am affected by it nonetheless. I hate drama. Despite how busy I try to stay. and as much as it seems like I thrive on chaos, I need my family intact. Did you ever have something happen in your household that made you question it’s stability? I am not feeling as secure as I did last week. The worst part is that I can’t even bring it up. It is “in the past” now and I should just get over it. I am not over it though. I am not okay.

It was a shit blogging week for me. I meant to post my review for It, but then I didn’t. Maybe I was intimidated by the sheer size of the book and all the impertinent information it should cover. Possibly I just ran short on time. I did finish reading It, Watch Me and sad to say I am almost done reading The Cruel Prince. The Cruel Prince is so good, I don’t want it to end. It is hard juggling everything. You bloggers know exactly what I mean. Hopefully this week is better for me blogging-time wise. It should be, I have this weekend off.

I am working this Monday holiday. I get double time, so there’s that. I hope, those of you that have the extra day off, really enjoy it.

I want to try The Cruel Prince! I’m so glad to hear you are enjoying it so much. I haven’t tried a Holly Black yet!

Sorry I haven’t been visiting you enough either, I really wanted to, but last week was just so hard. Spent at least two days just laid up after work, couldn’t do anything. Too tired..

Sorry there was family drama for you. Sometimes when stuff happens which shakes your feelings of stability it can be hard to move past but you need to look at why it shook you up. Hopefully you’ll be able to move past it once the shock wears off I guess. Enjoy reading The Cruel Prince, it’s an awesome read so I hope you enjoy it.

    I am certainly curious about your secret project! I am so sorry that you week was filled with family drama, it is no fun at all. And stressful. I do understand what you mean by not being allowed to bring it back up too. That makes it even harder to move on from. I hope things get better for you and your family. {Hugs}

I am glad that you are enjoying The Cruel Prince, I want to read it so badly, and I can’t wait to see what you think of it! Happy reading and enjoy the rest of your weekend off.

Oh! The secret project sounds exciting 🙂 Can’t wait to see what it is!!!

We always seem to have major family drama right around the holidays. Even though we try to put it behind us, it doesn’t always mean it’s better. Forgiving can be easy, but forgetting is just about impossible 🙂 Hope this next week starts looking better 🙂

Ugh, sounds like things are rough in some ways. I have one family member who is a Drama Factory, so I feel for you.

Looking forward to learning about the Secret Project. And Strange the Dreamer was a great read!

Sorry about the drama. I avoid a lot of my family because it’s constant drama with them, and I can’t handle it. I hope this week is better for you.

I’m so sorry to hear about the turmoil in your family right now. I can relate—my whole past year has felt like this in a lot of ways, and we’re finally now getting past it (not that it’s going away, but we’re figuring out how to move on as a family). It can be really stressful!

I am glad to hear you guys are getting though it. I have had to draw some hard lines in the sand for my family and now I just don’t know if I chose right, or even why I had to make those choices. I just need :drama free” for a bit. Thanks for sharing you woes.

I’m kind of scared to even start It so I can completely understand being intimidated by it. Actually I haven’t read any Stephen King except for a novella I finally got to this year. I’m sorry about the household drama and it’s even harder when it isn’t resolved. I’m looking forward to seeing the reveal of the big secret. I have a guess and I’m looking forward to seeing if I’m right. Have a great week!

I listened to it mostly, but I also has a paperback copy for when I couldn’t put my headphones in.
Now I wonder if you guessed right?

I am so intrigued by your secret project!! I can’t wait to hear what it is.

If you are feeling you can’t even bring it up because someone else is making the point that “it is in the past” and to get over it, I would encourage you to seek some type of counseling. Even if it’s just for you. I understand that feeling of your core foundation being shaken, and wondering if there is stability for the future, questioning everything. But if it is still bothering you, I think you should flush out those feelings. Keeping things buried can harbor resentment. That was the root of why my engagement ended – my ex fiance harbored such hatred about how he was treated growing up compared to his brother, and a fight over a girl they had in high school, that he could never let go of it and did everything he could to seek approval in other ways, including spending money we didn’t have to have approval of friends over our material item social status, as well seeking out approval from women who weren’t me. He choose to ruin his life, burn his bridges with his family, and shit on me…a couple weeks later he came back begging after realizing just a smidge of what he’d lost. Don’t harbor your feelings.
