Weekly Wrap Up #147

Reading time 2 mins

mv Hello Lovelies! Welcome to my weekly wrap up!

This week nothing devastating happened! It was a pretty good week. I mean, I did run out of gas when I was trying to leave work one day. I didn’t get home til 6:30, but that wasn’t such a big deal. I should have got gas on the way to work so sometimes I have to pay for my stupid mistakes.

On Friday, I went out with a lot of my co-workers to a brewery to celebrate one of their birthdays. I posted about it on Facebook. Oh wait! My other Facebook. Oh well! My Miguel actually drove an hour so I could show him off to everyone. It was really cool because just like I promised, he made everyone laugh. He is so funny and witty, he makes me laugh all the time. So I am totally keeping him around forever.

My oldest son got a job! He is working full-time and looking forward to starting night school. Okay, I just made that last part up. I am really proud that he is working an actual job though. He is making decent money for a 17 year old kid. He agreed to take a day off for night school orientation, so that’s positive. He also started in home counseling this week. Things are moving forward.

Fitness this week:

I did really good with my fitness this week. I worked out 4 times this week. I missed a few days because I was late coming home from work one day and had a few beers before heading home from work on Friday. I did a lot of walking at work on one of those “off” days so my Fit Bit app still thinks I worked out. I do try tow alk more at work when I am on the floor, deliberastly.

I also started running again! Its gets dark early here so I can really only run on my days off, (and probably just until it starts to snow). I am using the Couch to 5k running app. I have to admit it felt really good and I even ran extra towards the end of the week. It is good to have the prompts to get me started though.

Glad to hear good things are happening for your son. That must be a relief for you. Sorry about the gas situation. I don’t think that has ever happened to me. I run to the station when I am at half a tank, because I fear running out of gas, although I only really drive my car on the weekend and it’s all local driving. You are tackling ToD! Eager to hear what you think. I have heard a lot of good things, but I am not in the mood to read a book that long. I am cramming my review books in now. Have a wonderful holiday!

Congrats to your oldest on finding a full time job! That must be such a relief. And I really hope he’ll sign up for night school so he can finish his education all the while earning money and keeping busy in a good way.

I’m glad Miguel made your colleagues laugh – it means he’s not only funny to you, right? *winks*

You are doing so well on your fitness! I’m so lazy these days, even if I have started walking more again… I kind of feel like hibernating, but that’s not really a viable option.

    Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading. {{{hugs}}}

Hibernating sounds like a fun option. I could use a few months of rest. I guess I’ll rest when I am dead. At the rate things are going I will never fully catch up, lol! I hope you have a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by!

I am happy to hear that son is making some really good progress. We are having some major issues with ours, don’t know if it the age but it I’m ready to pull my hair out. He announced this week, that he wants to just take his GED and get a job. We are in shock right now. Anyway. Your son sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders and I am sure you and your husband are so relieved right now too.

I haven’t seen Flashtide before so I am definitely going to have to look into that one. Happy reading and Happy Thanksgiving.

I am relieved. To be really honest, my husband could care less. I am not just saying that either. They hate each other right now. My son is smart, he’ll make this work for him somehow. I hope. Sorry to hear your son is giving you grief. I was in shock as well but circumstances forced me to choose this for him. Good luck with everything. Maybe he’ll change his mind.
Thanks for stopping by, Happy Thanks giving to you as well!

Reading your post just made me realize I’m just about empty on my gas tank! Thank you for the unintentional reminder that I need to leave early for work tomorrow morning 🙂 Glad you had a good week and that everything is working out relatively well for your son. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving, Karen!

So glad to hear positive things are going on for your son! This sounds like the right track for him. I hope things continue to improve and the therapy is able to help even more. I have never run out of gas, but I have come close three times. I am that person that accepts the challenge. I’ve been able to drive 12 miles after my gas light came on. Good to know, right? I have to always check if I need gas because I do so much driving. I fill up three times a week. Can’t wait until I get a different job! 😀 Your night out sounds fun! Glad Miguel lived up to the hype.

What really bites is that I KNOW that car! It wasn’t even on the red yet, like the gas light wasn’t even on. I think because I was parked on an incline it couldn’t get enough gas to get started.
      Thanks for stopping by Charlie!

Glad to hear about your son getting a job. He reminds me of one of my nieces. She doesn’t like school and asks to get to work instead. Now she works and is planning on being an entrepreneur someday. I can see that it’s the right pack for your son and he loves it.
Anyway, glad to hear about your fitness progress. I’m planning to do yoga.
Enjoy your books and have a wonderful week, my friend. ❤️😁

Wow! Your son is making enormous progress! That’s such great news. And honestly I’d be deeply suspicious if he was excited about night school. I mean resigned or determined yes but excited – not so much! That’s great Miguel was able to come to the birthday! Always fun to mix worlds a little and show people off! Great job on the working out. I really need to get back into the habit because I feel so much better when I do but I’ve been sucking at it lately. Have a great week!

I’m glad last week was a less devastating week for you Karen! And I hope that this week has been a good one so far too.

Running out of gas sounds awful though!

Yay for your son getting a job! And I hope he enjoys school even though he’s not entirely looking forward to it!

Wow – running! Well done! I struggle with steady state cardio and prefer the high intensity stuff myself. I wish I could run though! I just don’t seem to be able ot sustain that heart rate going up!

You’re reading Tower of Dawn!!!!!!!!!! I hope you love it! Can’t wait to see what you think!

Have a wonderful week (what’s left of it!)

It’s Saturday and I’m reading your last Sunday post xD I’ve been away from the blogs!

Anyway, I’m really glad the week was okay and that your boy got a job! What kind of job is it? Either way, a positive direction.
