The Sunday Post #50

Reading time 2 mins

mvmHello Lovelies! Welcome to my weekly wrap up!

Thanks for stopping by. I have to warn y’all, I have fallen into a slump. I am not sure if this is just me, or the result of reading so many posts about slumps lately. I am not really feeling as excited about reading lately, and that had led me to not really feel like blogging. I think what really happened is that I read all the good books already this month, now I am left with the books I am looking forward to reading the least.

That is probably it!

I decided this morning to sneak in a book that isn’t due until later and one I got from the library. Those good reads are going to help me out of it. I hope this works, wish me luck!

I have The Girl in the Glass too! I’m about halfway done with it and am not quite sure what I think though so far the pace and readability is great.
Sorry about the slump. That happens to me as well and always drives me crazy. Usually it’s caused by forcing book after book that I don’t really want to read and occasionally I just get read out and I have to take a break from reading for a day or two. Whatever it is I hope you break out of it soon! Have a great week!

I don’t know what caused it. I am just hoping to get out of it soon. It doesn’t help that I feel so far behind. I don’t want to feel forced to read something, but it is happening right now.

I’ve had the same problem, I read through all the books I was looking forward to , and now I’m to find something I’m into.

    Hope you have good week!

I read a lot of good books for August but I was feeling burned out with the ARCs so I just picked a random book. It was nice to read something I don’t plan to write a long review on. I hope you find something you like. Have a great week!

I am definitely burnt out. Right now I am just reading for me again. I feel a bit better about it.

I am in both a reading and reviewing slump right now. I think because I hated the last 2 books I read for review. They were so poorly written. How do I write a review without sounding like I’m author-bashing? You know?

I have done that read all the books scheduled for review that I am sure I will like leaving unknown authors and books till the end. Doesn’t work. So know I weave them in, and of course switch genres up, even if I have to pull a book from the next month

Aww, I am sorry you are feeling slumpy. Is slumpy a word? It should be. Anyway, I hope it gets better soon! I feel like a lot of people are saying that too, you’re right! I can’t wait to read I Crawl Through it, hopefully you enjoy all the new books, perhaps they’ll help the slump? Also, the elephant picture made me chuckle 🙂

I am pretty much over it now. I feel a great relief that the month is over, (and my kids are back at school now, yeah!).

I don’t know about you, but sometimes, I need to take a break from ARCs and just read what I want to read. It usually breaks up my slump. Just a thought. 🙂

I’ve hit the slump and I think I am starting to come out of it, I put mine down to signing up for too many things but I learnt that lesson the hard way.

I hope you get through it.!

I’m looking forward to reading Nirvana and I love that cover for Star Craving Mad, will check that out!

    Have a good week.
