JimmyJane Form 2

DSCN5076

I was really elated to receive my very own JimmyJane Form 2 from MemeShop for review. MemeShop picked this out for me. This is actually a sex toy I have been wanting for a long time. I have never owned anything from JimmyJane and I was really impressed with this little gadget!

Materials: Silicone & Stainless Steel

Dimensions: 3″ x 1.75″ (1″ arms”)

DSCN5069

The JimmyJane Form 2 is rechargeable, waterproof, discreet, and powerful. It is a small clitoral vibrator. It fits perfectly into the palm of my hand. It has two motors, one in each of its arms. The motors work together. The ears are stiff and firm. The will bend slightly with a bit of pressure. The best use I could find for this vibe to start off with my clitoris nestled between the arms, but then I always end up using just one arm to cover my whole clitoris to orgasm. This vibe is really fun for and can be used on all erogenous zones of the body. I enjoyed it on my nipples and it can be used on the super sensitive area between the scrotum and the cock. I didn’t try this vibe internally, and I would not suggest anyone use this vibe anally.

The Form 2 has a three button interface. The vibe has three speeds and 4 patterns. It has an on/speed control pattern button(+), dedicated off button(-), and a function button(~). The buttons are on the side of vibe and covered with silicone. It is a wee-bit louder than I would have expected. It is pretty quiet, but at the highest level it produces a whine that might be heard though the door in a quiet house. The noise was not distracting for me but worth mentioning. The Form 2 also has a travel lock. In fact, the toy comes in the locked mode. To unlock or re-lock it just press the top (+) and bottoms (~) buttons at the same time.

DSCN5073

The silicone on this has a bit of drag and does attract a bit of lint. The silicone is compatible with water-based lubrication. The Form 2 charges in a base. The Form 2 will light up when it is charging. When it is removed from the base it will flash once, twice, three or four times showing you how much of a charge it has. If it blinks three times it has a full charge. If it blinks four slow blinks it has zero charge. It can sit on its charger anytime it is not in use and will not overcharge. The first time it needs to be charged for at least 2 hours. I was able to use this vibe three times before the charge ran out. The Form 2 will run for up to 7 hours on a full charge.

DSCN5068

The vibrations on the Form 2 are strong, even on the lowest setting. I really loved all the settings and I even enjoyed played with this thing on its lowest setting. I found this vibe to be tons of fun. The unique shape makes this vibe really one of a kind. I was able to get pin-point and diffuse vibrations on all my most sensitive spots. It is completely waterproof so it can also be taken into the shower or tub. The Form 2 is really easy to clean with soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. I found that JimmyJane Form 2 had so many uses. The best use I found for this vibe is to let it tickle the area you want stimulated and not to apply too much pressure. From the Jimmy Jane website:

FORM 2 Suggested Uses

  • Hold FORM 2 so that the ears are on either side of the clitoris, labia, or other pleasurable area. Stroke, squeeze the ears together, or simply stay still and let the vibrations do the work.
  • Slide FORM 2 up and down between the labia. Vary the motion so that one or both ears periodically comes in contact with the clitoris.
  • Hold FORM 2 at the base of the two ears so that with a little squeeze you can push the two of them together to stimulate the clitoris or other parts of the body, where you might usually like a nibble.
  • Take FORM 2 into the bathtub with you and make waves (of pleasure). Bring the tips of the two ears close to the clitoris (or other sensitive parts of the body). The water between the two ears comes to life, transmitting the vibrations to your skin. You may find that you can have an orgasm without ever coming in direct contact.
  • For more gentle vibration, use the lower portion of FORM 2 (below the ears).

DSCN5074

This toy is almost perfect. It is one of the best toys I have ever owned. The only problem I found is that when I put extra pressure on the arms, or touched the ears together, sometimes the arms don’t transfer the vibrations as much as they should. JimmyJane addressed this issue on their website in the FAQ’s about Form 2:

Help! It’s making a grinding noise/the vibration is shifting into the base.
When the ears of FORM 2 are pressed together, pressure is also exerted on the motors, and this can cause the vibration to temporarily change and/or become louder. Vibration will not stop, nor will FORM 2 become damaged. This change is normal and indicates the motors are functioning properly.

I would still highly recommend this vibe. It is expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

The Form 2 came in an extra large box. The box seemed like a bit of a waste really. Sadly the box did not contain a storage pouch. The box did contain lots of information about the Form 2 and how to care for it. The box was not discreet. It could be used for storage, but I just keep my Form 2 charging all the time. The Form 2 has a three year limited warranty. Three years is one of the longest warranties in the industry. The details about the warranty are also found in the giant box.

DSCN5066

The JimmyJane Form 2 can be purchased at MemeShop. MemeShop is a UK based company that sells lingerie, toys, and gifts. The website is really easy to navigate. They offer free shipping in the UK and a low cost flat rate shipping for everywhere else. They have lots of unique sexy items!

The Strange and Unusual History of the Vibrator

Old-skool vibrators

Social Acceptability Of Sex Toys

2012 has seen sales of sex toys soar through the roof. With the hugely popular ’50 Shades of Grey’ storming through the bestsellers charts, online retailers of all things pleasurable have been feeling the heat, with products they guarantee will take the place of diamonds as girl’s best friend. Whilst jiggle balls and handcuffs have seen massive increases in popularity, the classic or rabbit vibrator is still considered the most popular sex toys among many women, available in many shapes, sizes and textures. Gone is the embarrassment that came with admitting you owned a sex toy, with women everywhere – whether in a relationship or single – taking charge of their own sexuality.

Origins Of The Vibrator

It’s a far leap from the humble beginnings of vibrators. The vibrator was invented in the eighteen hundreds to tackle ‘hysteria’, the female disease which had been diagnosed by Hippocrates and which had had little update since. More than one in four women were said to have the disease with symptoms that could encompass everything from fatigue to stomach cramps, and the most effective cure was ‘hysterical paroxysm’ – otherwise known as ‘orgasm’. Other cures included sensory deprivation and removing yourself from anything too taxing, but pelvic massage was often considered the most successful. Whilst it’s tempting now to see this as sexual deviancy, it seems the doctors of the late 1800′s were less than happy about the application of this treatment.

Until the vibrator was invented, the unfortunate doctors of those days found themselves overwhelmed with women diagnosed with the disease, and they’d suffer cramps in their hands as they spent hours ensuring they cured the women of their illness using pelvic massage. By 1870, a clockwork vibrator was invented and the physicians found themselves cured of their problems, and overbooked with patients.

Old-skool vibrators

Commercial Release Of The Vibrator

It took many more years for vibrators to be used outside the doctor’s office, but in 1900 they were finally released as a retail product. It became the fifth electrical appliance to be released for consumer use after the sewing machine, fan, kettle and toaster and was released years before household necessities such as the electrical vacuum or iron. However, in the days when ‘female hysteria’ was still considered a valid illness, it would have been embarrassing and very much frowned upon to admit to owning one of these devices for anything other than medical purposes. Therefore, they were marketed as body massages offering to cure anything from headaches to asthma.

The Sexual Revolution

It wasn’t until the sixties that vibrators started being accepted as a form of female masturbation in a previously prudish society. Whilst they still carried a certain amount of stigma, being seen as a lesser form of pleasure than intercourse, women now found themselves investigating facets of their sexuality in a less judgmental age, where masturbation was not something to be frowned upon or discussed only in a doctor’s office but something to be enjoyed in the home.

By the seventies, vibrators were marketed to women as a sex aid and since then women have been taking responsibility for their own pleasure. As the use of vibrators became more and more mainstream, with hit television shows such as Sex and the City praising them, women have become more and more comfortable in the purchase of these gadgets to the point where now, in 2012, they are openly discussed on television and purchased not only by women but by couples worldwide looking to spice up their love life. No matter why they were invented, women the world over are reaping the benefits.

Lending a Hand

sinfulsunday

Last weekend Miguel and I went out to a swinger gathering. As usual, when we hit this type of venue, Miguel had several couples lined up that we were going to meet in person. Some of them for the first time after chatting online for months. The turn out at the venue wasn’t that impressive. We were one of the first couples to arrive and one of the last to leave. At the last moment a couple invited us back to their hotel for some after party fun. We were more than happy to oblige.

We got the hotel and they offered us drinks. It seems they were prepared for fun. The room was pretty nice with a separate sitting room and a king sized bed in the bedroom. Miguel found a great way to break the ice and whipped out the blindfold. We blindfolded her and I helped her out of her clothes. I led her over to the bed and had her lie back. I took off my corset top and kissed her. I tweaked her nipples and then her husband handed me some toys to play on her with. A bullet for her clit and a slim vibrator for her pussy. I rubbed the bullet all over her clit and slowly eased the vibrator into her. I am usually more oral, but this couple was a soft swap. I didn’t want to ruin everything by going too far. We hadn’t discussed if she was interested in playing with me, just that they weren’t interested in a full swap. I looked for cues that she was enjoying herself. She was very wet but almost silent as I played. Her man took pictures of the action. Miguel got up on the bed by her head and held her arms while I worked on getting her off. After a while I grabbed her hand so she could control the amount of pressure of the bullet and I handed the vibrator to her man. I took off my skirt and panties and got my own vibrators out. I stretched out next to her to work on getting myself off while her man and Miguel watched. We fucked like animals after that. It was a great night.

Sinful Sunday is all about the image. See who else is playing.

LELO INA 2

LELO Ina 2

The LELO INA 2 is a luxury rabbit style vibe. I got a chance to review the INA and I was really impressed. The new INA 2 has the same sort of functionality with some improvements. The new INA 2 is 100% more powerful, 100% waterproof and has a slightly modified design for more pleasure.

Materials: Silicone and ABS plastic

Dimensions: 8″ x 1.5″, 4.5″ insertable with 2.25″ clitoral arm

(Click any picture to see it larger.)

The INA 2 is a silicone covered hard rabbit style vibrator. The type of silicone LELO uses repels dust which helps to keep it clean between uses. The INA 2 is seamless with no texture. It feels smooth and has a great g-spot curve. It is not a rotating rabbit, it only vibrates which makes this toy great for thrusting.  Being silicone it is only compatible with water-based lubrication. The tip is tapered which may help with insertion, but a small amount of lube will probably still be necessary to accommodate the new wider girth of the shaft. The clitoral arm is offers more reach for users than the original. The INA 2 clitoral arm bends back with pressure, but still offers firm pressure on the clitoris during use.

The INA 2 is rechargeable and gives about 4 hours of play with a 2 hour charge. As far as it being 100% more powerful, I am not 100% sure. I can feel that the shaft motor is much improved. The whole thing has more of a deep rumble to it. It makes the old INA feel buzzy in comparison. Vibration wise, the clitoral shaft feels almost the same, but the original INA was pretty impressive to me, so that is not really saying much. The improvement must have been in the shaft, which now vibrates my whole pelvis when it is inserted. I almost can’t stand it, but then it is just wonderful. I don’t even need to go to max vibrations to get off on the new INA 2. The shaft is so powerful now that even when the clitoral arm is in a mode that gives it no vibration I can feel the vibrations from the shaft traveling down. I have to give the new INA 2 4.5 stars out of 5 for vroom, it is pretty powerful. 1

The shaft design has been modified for even further reach. The shaft has a bit more girth for a more full feeling. I had no problem with the old design, the new design is good for me as well. It has a fuller feel when it is inserted. The clitoral shaft has no problem hitting my clit just right without needing to be adjusted so much. The clitoral shaft is a bit more girth as well, which might add to the no miss factor. It doesn’t hug my mound as closely as the original but it allows for easier thrust. The problem with the old INA hugging so closely was that during thrusting the shaft needed to be lifted to find my clitoris. The new INA 2 has no such problems. The INA 2 I recieved is orange and the original INA is green, you can see the design differences when they are side by side.

The INA 2 is available in brilliant green, orange and purple colors that may appeal to folks like me who are sick to death of pink. It is slighly more expensive than the original, but then again this is waterproof. That upgrade makes this toy so much more appealing to people like me who love to play in the shower. The INA 2 is also easier to clean now that the buttons can get wet without worry. The INA 2 works on a four button interface. With a (+) to turn it on and the turn the vibrations up and a (-) to turn the vibrations down and off. The top and bottom buttons have up and down arrows that allow you to scroll through the functions.

The buttons are still covered with a soft silicone, making them easy to depress. The INA 2 also has the same locking feature on the buttons which makes this toy great for travel. The difference is there is now no gap between the buttons and the base which makes it water-tight. The buttons still light up and flash when it is charging. The lights get steady when it is at a full charge. The lights behind the buttons also light up when they are pressed. The INA 2 has 8 functions. The functions range from steady vibrations, isolating either the shaft or the clitoral arm, and various pulses, escalations, and waves of vibration. Sadly, the functions are set and the clitoral arm and shaft do not work independently unless one of them is off completely. I liked the variety of patterns, but I wish I could turn down the shaft a bit while turning up the clitoral arm.

That is not to say that I didn’t enjoy thoroughly testing the new INA 2. It’s power inspired me to find new ways to enjoy this toy. The shaft is so powerful that I could use it on my clitoris and labia with no penetration and still orgasm. The INA 2 is also just as quiet as the original. The INA 2 produces a very low humm < 50dB. It would not be heard through a closed door, but maybe across the room. It is slightly louder than a cell phone on vibrate, if that helps.

To charge the INA 2 just plug in the power cord to the base. The charging cord has a silicone cover which when in place keeps it water proof. To clean the INA 2 just use soap and water or a sex toy cleaner.

The INA 2 comes in deluxe packaging which includes the satin drawstring pouch for storage. The pouch is large enough for the INA 2 and the charger. The pouch makes storage discreet, as you can just slip it into the pouch and place it a draw. The pouch also keep it from touching everything. The charger is exactly the same LELO charger that they use for all their toys. 2 The black luxury box also comes with a sample of LELO water-based lubricant, a user guide, the charger, and a warranty card. The card is a huge upgrade from the warranty pamphlet that used to be included when you bought LELO toys. The card is less likely to get ruined or ripped and can be discreetly placed with other cards for say… 8 years down the road when you might need to use the 10 year guarantee. All LELO products come with a one year full replacement warranty and a ten year guarantee. 3

My opinion of the new LELO INA 2 is that it is worth the investment. It is not every toy that is as powerful, is waterproof, is as quiet, and has as many functions as the INA 2 offers. The warranty means this toy is not going to fail on you. The new design will accommodate almost every female body type. Thank you LELO for making a great toy even better (and waterproof)!

Black Label Jack Rabbit Anniversary Edition

Sexpert

California Exotics sent me the Black Label Jack Rabbit Anniversary Edition this month. The original Jack Rabbit is over 30 years old. There are many varieties of Rabbit on the market. The duel style of stimulation is one of the most popular sex toys on the market today. I love the anniversary edition for it simplicity and easy to use functions.

Materials: Silicone and ABS Plastic

Dimensions: main shaft 9.5″ x 1.75″ , (5.25″ insertable) clitoral shaft 2.25″ x 1.25″

The Black Label Jack Rabbit is made of silicone and completely waterproof. The silicone has a bit of drag to it and is only compatible with water based lubrication. The shaft has a rounded tip for a more life-like appearance. The shaft has a grooved circular design on the shaft. The grooves do not add to stimulation at all, they are merely decorative. I couldn’t feel them what-so-ever when it was inserted. The silicone on this toy is firm with a little bit of give. The shaft bends slightly to allow for the rotation of the shaft. It does not gyrate a whole lot, about 1/2″ around.

The ears on the clitoral shaft are about an 1″ long and carry the vibrations very well right to the tip.

I found the Black Label Jack Rabbit easy to use. It has a five button interface with a dedicated on/off switch. It has three motors: in the base of the clitoral shaft, at the shaft base, and near the tip of the shaft. It has three speeds of vibration and three speeds of rotation. There is a little blue light above the buttons that comes on when you turn it on. Once you turn it on it sits idle until you hit increase the vibration or hit the function button.

The middle (⦶) button turns the Black Label Jack Rabbit on and off. The (W) button controls the 7 functions of vibration, pulsation and escalation. The (ⴷ) and (ⴸ) buttons increase or decrease the vibrations. The nice thing about this Rabbit is that you can use either the shaft rotation/vibration and clitoral vibration independently, although the functions do have a bit of a learning curve. Figuring out how to get the functions to work separately was part of the fun for me.

The slight rotation made this product more stimulating for me since it did not irritate my vaginal walls. This rabbit is thick and should be great for those that love a full feeling. The rotation of the shaft was a small reminder of the fullness as the clitoral shaft buzzed me into orgasm.

The Black Label Jack Rabbit takes three AA batteries. I haven’t had the product long enough to be able to tell how great it is on batteries. I can tell you that I have had three extended sessions of 10+ minutes with the toy and it seems to be going strong. The battery compartment was slightly difficult to open/close. It took a bit of fumbling and some muscle to get the cap to open and close. It has a slanted slide lock on the base. It maintains a water tight seal, I tested in the shower and while washing it. The batteries can be stored separately in the battery case.

The Jack Rabbit was a bit noisy. Okay, it’s loud. This toy is extremely pleasurable, if you can get past the noise. I recommend using this toy in a loud environment or when you are home alone. If that is not your style then this toy probably isn’t for you. The vibrations are pretty awesome, but really it is those rabbit ears and the subtle rotation that makes this toy good. The volume of this toy is awful.

The toy is easy to clean with soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. The Jack Rabbit came packaged in a paper box that was full of information about the rabbit. It was not discreet and too big to really serve as a storage box. I store this toy in a drawer with the rest of my silicone toys. Keep this toy away from inferior materials.

I really loved this rabbit. The only downside I could see was that it was loud and hard to get direct pressure on the clit, but the buzzy ears made that a non-issue for me. When I used this in the shower the noise didn’t bother me so much. The ears fit perfectly on either side of my clitoris and stimulated my labia as well. I would recommend this rabbit to a friend. The Black Label Jack Rabbit Anniversary Edition also comes in a rechargeable style for a bit more money. I would love to get my hands on that because I wonder if it is as loud as the battery operated version.

Both versions of the Black Label Jack Rabbit are available at HedoVibes.

Fun Factory UFO

UFO

I got the Fun Factory UFO to review from FunWares. Like the Fou this vibe is crazy looking. The shape of this vibe is that of a UFO.

Dimensions: 3.5″ diameter x 2″ height

Materials: Silicone and ABS Plastic

In the tradition of the Yooo and the Fou the Fun Factory UFO is bizarre in shape and offers lots of variety for uses with a bit of imagination. The silicone on the UFO is matte and has a bit of drag to it. It will pick up hair and lint but gets slick with a bit of water-based lubrication. It has a rounded shape with flexible band of silicone surrounding it. The Silicone has a bit of give to it. This toy is rounded off and has no edges for pin-point stimulation.

The Fun Factory UFO has three buttons, a (+) and a (-) to turn it on and off and the vibration up or down. It also has a (*) button that controls the 3 vibration patterns. The UFO has 5 levels of vibrations. On the first two levels the silicone band barely moves. The silicone absorbs the vibrations very effectively. This vibe is not strong on the band even at the highest level. The bottom of the vibe is rounded off and doesn’t do much better to transmit the vibrations. The UFO motor sits right under the plastic cap and, unless direct pressure is applied to the cap itself, it vibrates against it. The UFO is loud and it’s vibrations are unimpressive.

The UFO is completely waterproof. You could take this into the tub or shower. I found the massage qualities of this vibe to be rather disappointing. It seems that whatever rotating motor is within the UFO is small and not powerful enough to overcome the silicone it is encased in.

The UFO features the “magic touch” feature found in the Yooo and the Fou. The buttons light up whenever the UFO is handled to let me know the battery is still good. The charger for the UFO comes seperatly packaged and is the standard click n’ charge that all rechargeable Fun Factory use. Fun Factory uses a magnetic charger that keeps the toy closed and waterproof. The logo on the charger lights up when it is charging. The first charge needs to be for at least 8 hours before the first use.

Placing it flat over my clitoris was a bit difficult. The best I could do was to turn it on it’s end to hit my clitoris. I tried to use it for massage, but Miguel was unimpressed by the strength. When I applied the rounded end to his perineum he said it felt good but the size of this vibe meant it hit his scrotum, he did not like that. It was kinda nice for nipple play. Honestly, the volume was too much for me to use this vibe on a regular basis.

It is really cool looking…

It comes with the nice new packaging which includes some care/warnings and a sample of lube, almost identical to the Fou…

The satin and sheer pouches are a nice touch. I am loving that Fun Factory is finally sending out their toys with storage pouches. I am not loving this toy though. I imagine this is the same motor that is found inside the Fou, which I actually liked and use often, despite the volume. So what gives? The shape fit comfortably in the palm of my hand but it just wasn’t strong enough. The weak vibrations coupled with the volume means this toy will see very little action in my collection.
