State of the ARC #2

Reading time 2 mins
State of the ARC is hosted by AvalinahsBooks. It is a fun way to share our ARC progress, challenges, wins, woes and mishaps. For more about it and to participate click here.

Welcome to my State of the ARC!

Being a book blogger is hard! We get so many offers for books that sometimes we get overwhelmed and let things get behind. State of the ARC, created by Avalinah’s Book, a fun way to see where we are at and be accountable to books we have promised to review. There is now also a Goodreads Group for extra challenges, ways to earn points and keep track of how you are doing.

Lets look at my stats:

NetGalley 9/25 overdue 36%
Edelweiss 7/17 overdue 41%
Total 16/42 overdue 38%

I actually did make progress. Aaaaaaand I admit I did get some new ARCs this past month.

Like 12 new ARCs.

I this I still made a good dent in overdue books. I am not on a requesting ban at all. I don’t have the discipline and I feel like in a few months I will actually be caught up, (ahh the lies i tell myself).

While putting this post together I accidentally added another ARC to my TBR. Oops!

ARCs I plan to read in November:

Three of these are kinda old. Like waaaaaaaay backlisted. One is even from 2014! In the Goodreads Group the challenge this month is to read your oldest ARCs, so I picked 3 of them for this month.

How Did I Do Since Last Month?

The only book from my last State of the ARC that I didn’t get to was CENTRAL STATION. I started to read it and then I lost interest. Hopefully I can get back to that book, or figure out if I should DNF it.

Anyways, that the State of the ARC for me this month. Are you participating in State of the ARC? What ARCs are you reading this month? I would love to hear how you are doing. Leave a me a comment so we can chat.

I don’t have any post-publication ARCs. I have 32 on my stack now with release dates from November through May. Most of my ARCs are from NetGalley right now. Here’s my monthly report. Happy reading!

You did make progress! That’s awesome. And your graphs still rock 😀

I am so jealous about Artemis 🙂 I didn’t get that one. Will have to read ALL the reviews!

Yeah, Central Station was… you know, if I was you, I would just listen through a reading app read it back to me while I was doing dishes or cleaning. It doesn’t really have a plot. I’ll have a review of it up soon. So maybe yeah, maybe you should DNF it.

    Good luck on cutting down!

You are making good progress, even if you did get a few more ARCs. I actually have a few of the same ARCs as you on my November reading list. I am so excited for Artemis that I’ve put off reading. I will be picking that up this month for sure, though. And City of Brass I am so excited for. I’m meant to be doing a buddy read of it with a couple of folks but we’ll see, if not I’ll be reading after the release date and loving it. I’m a little nervous about reading The Girl in the Tower as I know it took me a while to get into The Bear and The Nightingale but I know I loved it so hopefully I’ll feel the same about that one. Good look with your reading.

City of Brass is so good. I am almost finished reading it. Obviously, my reading and posting plans for this week are a bit derailed due to all that is going on. I got some extra days off, but I can’t really think. Thanks for hosting this challenge, it is really motivating me.

I keep having big ideas that I’m not going to request any new books until I get things a little more under control but I keep failing miserably on that so I’m thinking I should just let that fantasy go. Yay for making progress on the overdue!

Yay! I knew that idea of not requesting was pure fantasy for me. Good luck with your goals. Thanks for stopping by!

I think it’s fantastic that you got to all but 1 of your books from your last post. I’d be very happy if I can say that this time next month!
