Is there a future for an aristocratic Wylfen female exiled for mating with a half-breed Rogue Wolf?

The primal call of Mate Claim sparks a battle among the three species of shifters—Wylfen, Feral, & Rogue—and has for generations. These violent feuds incite hunts by humankind, driving shifters near extinction. To protect their people the aristocratic Wylfen ban the practice of Mate Claim. When a Rogue alpha claims a Wylfen female, the mated pair forms a coalition with a Feral male. An alliance is created: Prymal, a new species & pack born of Rogue, Wylfen, & Feral. And war begins…

Tania, a Wylfen aristocrat, hooks up with a stranger right before her twin’s graduation from military college. Hours later, the bottom drops out of her world when she’s introduced to Axe, her twin’s new SEAL instructor. Then she discovers he’s a Feral Wolf, the archenemy of her people. Wylfen laws prohibit her from mating with a half-breed. If anyone finds out she’s mated with Axe, exile is the least she has to fear…

This book surprised me in the most delicious way. First of all, I thought a book about shifters could not be so erotic. Second, I didn’t think it would make me want to read more books like this. This intro, for me, was absolutely perfect. Jianne Carlo has created the perfect cast of characters for her underground shifters in Prymal Lust.

There are three breeds: Wylfen, Feral, and Rogue. Wylfen is the aristocrat pure breed. (Our heroine, Tania, is Wylfen). Feral and Rogue are the “lesser” breeds that are subject to all Wylfen laws. Since the Wylfen breed has the most power, they make all the rules. Tania is about to attend her twin brother graduation party but finds herself so consumed by lust, she seeks out a human male (the only acceptable breeding mate for an unmated Wylfen). She finds Axe instead,(a Feral Wolf in disguise) and is undeniably drawn to him. Thinking him a human, she mates with him opening herself up to exile and worse.

Tania is a wolf female that hasn’t been able to be very wolf like throughout her life. Her breed has all but suppressed their animal characteristics. Axe is part of a new pack they have dubbed Prymal, which accepts all the breeds. Meeting Axe meant she could discover all about her wolf side. We, the reader, get to go along with her and learn the powers, rites, and rituals that make these characters so freakin awesome. They shift, they mate, they sense more, they smell emotions, they feel so much deeper. I am in lust with this book. The different breeds of wolf were fun to learn about. The sex in this book is absolutely sizzling. Tania and Axe share a closeness and a hunger for each other that I have yet to see in any other books (and I read a lot of erotica).

This book is so well written and had characters with depth. This book had romance, fighting, sex, and suspense. I feel as if I have discovered a whole new world. I would think it a difficult thing to write about mating and cubs without sounding crazy, but this manages to be a dramatic romance and a thriller all in one. I am definitely going to be reading on to see what happen to the Prymal “pack”. The ending left me wanting more. Please Jianne, don’t keep me waiting too long. I hunger for this sequel.

About the Author

Award winning, author Jianne Carlo’s motto is simple: Alpha Me Please. While strong heroines, exotic locations, and cultural differences are her forte, she goes weak in the knees for warriors of any type, rebels, SEAls, Vikings, and bad-ass mercenaries.

Send her a man with an attitude and she’ll find the right woman to tame him. Jianne’s writing career began in 2008, and since then she’s been lucky enough to have over twenty books published. Most of her books are TOP PICKs and several have been nominated for and won awards and prizes.

Nothing makes Jianne’s day more than an email from someone who’s read one of her books. So far, she’s received emails from almost every continent on the planet. Almost…
