Toy Collection

I have never shared this on my blog, but my toy collection is a bit out of control. I have acquired quite a few toys since I started reviewing just 17 months ago. Some I have purchased myself, some I have won or were free gifts, most I was sent for review. I took some pictures and I plan on sharing them all here. You can click on any of the pics to see them bigger.

I actually had to go out and buy things to hold my toy collection. I am long past keeping them in a bedside drawer, but I do have some by my bedside. (Namely the lube and toy cleaners, I always have a towel nearby so I can wipe them down.)

Notice the Leaf Life toy just peaking out there? In case you are wondering what the hell is in that devine toy box, I took everything out so you can see.

Additionally, I went out and purchased totes with fabric drawers and stuffed them with toys. It is a bit difficult to locate things so I only keep them half full. In retrospect I should have purchased only the smaller drawers so I could see things a bit better. The toys get buried in these drawers sometimes. I use the storage pouch if the toy comes with one, so most the LELO toys are hidden in black satin pouches. I have to real careful about keeping materials segregated. I keep lower grade materials in zip lock bags so they don’t ruin the finish on my silicone favorites.

It gets worse… since there are toys I keep but haven’t used in a while. I keep my most loathe toys in a bag, but I have since outgrown the bag and some have spilled over into this drawer mixed in with some great toys. I have even managed to keep most of the packaging for the toys I don’t use. Why? I don’t really know why…

On top of my drawers I have a little hodgepodge of things I think are cute and random stuff I need to review. I also have this handy box over stuffed with warranties and instructions, Ya know…just in case I actually use something enough to break it and it needs a warranty or I need to consult the instructions for a toy? I guess I just wanted to keep everything in a place I could easily find it. I hope I never need to actually locate a warranty in this box…

Then there is my travel bag. This bag is full of stuff and is ready to go. I keep a lot of glass and silicone in this bag since it is easy to clean and body safe. I have lots of lube in this bag, some personal wipes, a few condoms, and (of course) my collar.

I have all the cords in a drawer. The drawer is a bit of a mess at this time so I didn’t take any photos of it. Showing off my collection would not even be complete without showing you my naughty book collection. Books needing review are all the way on the right. The one I am reading now is on my nightstand. (There are also quite a few on my kindle I have reviewed this past year.)

Somethings are missing here in these pics. Like the Fleshlight Miguel keeps under his nightstand, all the floggers and paddles we have hanging up, a few movies we have in a shoe box under the bed, and the toys I keep in the closet due to their size (like our liberator bonbon). I am not terribly organized by the look of these pics. I just wanted to share with you all some photos of my toy collection. I would love to hear about how you keep your collection.

Collage Play

I have wanted to participate in Toy With Me Tuesday since it’s inception. I finally got a little something to contribute.

Made entirely with my vibes and a bit of photo editing inside of a collage.

See who else is participating….

Toy with me Tuesday

Thumper Pink and Black

The Thumper Pink and Black is a Kiwi toy that is fun and waterproof. I love the design of this toy and that all the vibrations are all in the ears. The base of the toy fits nicely into my palm. The toy is quiet and discreet.

Materials: Silicone and ABS Plastic

Dimensions: 5″ x 2″ (ears are .6″ long)

The Thumper Pink and Black is a battery operated toy that takes two AAA batteries. The Thumper has a two button interface which is easy to operate. Push either of the buttons to turn it on and hold down either of the buttons for a few seconds to turn it off. The buttons seems to both do the same things, they cycle through the 3 speeds and 7 vibrations patterns. The Thumper makes a low humm as it turns on which gets slightly louder when it gets faster. The vibe is pretty quiet though and I don’t think it would be heard through a closed door. It will shut off fairly quickly if you need it to.

Best use for this vibrator would be to have both “ears” of the vibe on either side of the clitoris or just resting on the labia. The level of vibrations is buzzy and didn’t quite produce the strength I needed to get off clitorally. Too bad really, because the base of this toy has almost no vibrations, making it very comfortable to hold on to. This vibe has a bit of weight to it, which actually made it more comfortable to hold on to. The ears are really flexible and don’t help to create pressure. If I could change one thing about this vibe, that would be it. If it has a bit more resistance I think the vibrations may be able to go exactly where I wanted them to. This vibe will work for someone who doesn’t need deep rumbly vibrations to get them off.

The base has a nice flat side on it’s round end, allowing it to stand up with the ears not touching anything. This is great if you want to leave it setting for a minute but don’t want anything touching the parts that touch you.

I was so excited to get this little vibrator. I love that it is waterproof and so easy to hold. I can take this little vibrator into the shower and it is quiet enough to be discreet. I tried this vibrator in a few different ways. The Thumper is not really intended for internal penetration but the ears can be used on the labia, nipples, clitoris, at the vaginal or anal entrances or on a man’s perineum, penis, or scrotum. The packaging says not to submerge this toy and then to open the battery compartment to allow it to air dry. I used soap and water to clean this toy and then opened it like it said. I found not water in the battery compartment. I guess that is just a precautionary note. The toy screws apart pretty easily and there are diagrams showing which way to insert the two AAA batteries.

The packaging is nice and shows the Thumper Pink and Black through a window on top of the box. The Thumper sits nestles in a satin covered bed with plastic over it so no dust gets to it. The instructions for care and maintenance were hidden just under the Thumper’s ears. The instructions come in seven different languages. I think the box is really pretty and could have a few other uses for me.

Fun Factory Bimini Ocean

There are so many reasons I love Fun Factory. They always use great materials, most of their products are waterproof, they use the same charger for all their toys, they are usually quiet, and they are usually powerful toys. I was elated to get my hands on another Fun Factory in the Bimini collection the Fun Factory Bimini Ocean. The Ocean is a small rabbit style vibe, but it is powerful and easy to use.

Materials: Silicone and ABS Plastic

Dimensions: 5.5″ x 1.25″ (3″ insertable)

The Bimini line from Fun Factory are small powerhouse rechargeable vibes. They have small clitoral shafts (a nub in Ocean’s case) so they are not going to work for every girl’s anatomy. The clitoral shaft is short and at first I didn’t think it would work for me at all. I needed to angle to shaft to get it just right, but then it worked very well. The Bimini Ocean has only one motor and works with a two button interface. The majority of vibrations can be felt on the tip of the Ocean’s main shaft curl. I have to say that both the Ocean’s curls do a good job of carrying the vibrations to the surface.

The shaft is smooth with some textured ridges. The silicone on this toy is pretty squishy. Both of the curls on the Fun Factory Ocean are bendable but firm enough to provide pressure. The g-spot curl on the shaft is perfect in size and the vibrations it delivers are really strong. The problem is that the shaft only inserts about 3″, so this will work only if you have a shallow g-spot. It didn’t work for my g-spot but the vibrations on the shaft along with the textures made it very enjoyable for short thrusting. As a nice bonus, using the g-spot curl clitorally feels fantastic.

The buttons for the Ocean are located near the plastic base of the toy on the opposite side of the clitoral nub. I found this vibe very easy to use. Just hold down the (+) button for a few seconds and it starts off in the lowest vibrations. The Fun factory Ocean has eight levels of vibrations, so this vibe will work even for those who don’t have the need for a lot of power. The vibe also has three different patterns that are accessible after getting to the highest vibration setting. The (-) button will take you back through the vibrations levels. Once you get to the lowest level, just click it once more to turn it off.

The Fun Factory Ocean uses the Click n’ Charge magnetic charger. The charger attaches with an audible click on the base of the vibe right over the Fun factory logo. The Fun Factory logo on the charger lights up when it is charging. It glows red when it is charging and turns white when it is fully charged. The first charge may take up to 12 hours. The nice thing about Fun Factory is that the charger says the company name right on it. I have 20 or more chargers and they are almost all black, the Fun Factory chargers are easy to pick out since they are round and have the logo right on them. The charger for Fun Factory toys comes separate. The packaging is exactly the same as the Bimini Flash that I reviewed almost a year ago. The packaging comes with detailed care and maintenance instructions in about eight different languages. It also comes with an advert for the whole Fun Factory line of toys and a sample of Toyfluid, which is Fun Factory’s own water-based lubricant. The packaging is very nice and would make a good gift (just don’t forget that the charger comes separate). All Fun Factory chargers are interchangeable and can be used on other Fun Factory toys.

The Fun Factory Ocean is a whisper quiet vibe. It has a nice deep rumbly vibrations that will not be heard through covers across the room. The Ocean is completely waterproof, so take this toy in the tub, shower or pool and enjoy some water fun! The Ocean is easy to clean and made of non-porous silicone. Silicone will not harbor bacteria and is easy to clean with soap and water. The silicone does have a slight bit of drag. I didn’t need to use any lubrication, but the Ocean is compatible with water-based lubrication only. Do not use silicone based lubrication. All the Fun Factory toys now come with a 2 year warranty, see details here.

The Bimini Ocean comes in baby rose, ultramarine and pink. I think this vibe is pretty fantastic, but keep in mind the dimensions and that it may not “fit” every body. The Fun Factory Bimini Ocean retail price is $79.90, it can be purchased at FunWares for only $51.95. FunWares offers fast discreet shipping and has some of the lowest prices on quality toys.

Pop Plug

The Pop Plug is a fun anal plug made by Doc Johnson. I know some folks might be hesitant to try an anal plug, but believe me, they are really fun and add so much to play time. I found this large sized plug to be a comfortable fit and perfect for naughty fun!

Materials: Silicone

Dimensions: Small: 1″ x 1.5″ Medium: 1.25″ x 2.5″ Large: 1.5″ x 2.5″ ( I am reviewing this size)

The Pop Plug is available in three different sizes to fit your individual play needs. I was a bit worried when this plug arrived, that it might be too large. We needed to use a bit of foreplay, but it went in very easily due to it’s smooth curve design. I had no fear of this plug slipping too far since the design is flared enough at the base for me to notice a shift either way. This plug has easy retrieval loop which I hardly noticed when this toy was inserted. After having this plug in for a little while it took a bit of work to get it back out. I felt all 2.5″ in width, it was delicious! The retrieval loop does have a bit of stretch but it would take a whole lot of strength to rip this.

The silicone in this plug is only compatible with water-based lubrication. If you use silicone lubrication, it may ruin the finish on this toy. I also want to mention here that the anal orifice does not “lube up” no matter how excited you are, so please use lube when performing anal play. The silicone material of this toy will not absorb the lubrication, but be generous with it anyways. I found this toy easy to clean since it is 100% silicone. You can use soap and water, a sex toy cleaner, a 10% bleach solution or boil this toy to disinfect it. Sadly, it does not come with a storage pouch.

I wanted to show a comparison of this plug to the infamous Tantus Ryder just so you can see the size. The small size of the Pop Plug should accommodate even the most inexperienced user. Even with the smallest size, I still recommend you use a bit of lubrication.

Here is the packaging the Pop Plug came in.

The Pop Plug is available at HedoVibes.

Fun Factory Yooo

DSCN4468

The Fun Factory Yooo is a dual motor vibe made up of three ball shapes combined into one fun toy. This toy is powerful, fun, and whimsical but falls short of being a powerful clitoral vibe. It’s rounded edges make it fun for massage and sensory play all over the body.

Materials: Medical Grade Silicone and Plastic

Dimensions: 4.75″ x 2.5″ (kinda depends on how you turn this vibe one sphere is 1.75″ and the other one is 1.5″)

This vibe is made for massage. What kind of massage is completely up to you. The texture of this vibe is matte silicone. It has drag to it, I recommend a bit of water-based lubrication for massage. Silicone lubrication will ruin the material. I think they designed this toy with almost everyone in mind. This vibe can be used for dual stimulation, with a bit inserted vaginally and then placed close to the clitoris. It is almost anatomically impossible to insert this vibe and have it rest perfectly on the clitoris. For those of you with a clit-o-steel or those that need pin-point stimulation, this vibe cannot deliver. This vibe can be used by a man or on a man if you want to get a bit creative. With a toy as whimsical as this, you almost have to be creative.

The Fun Factory Yooo has a three button interface controlling both of it’s motors. The (+) button increases the vibration intensity through it’s 8 levels and 3 patterns, the (-) button turns it back one or off if you press it to much. To turn this vibe on you have to hold down the (+) button for a few seconds. All of the buttons light up and flash when it is on. Holding down the (-) button gets it to the lowest setting and it flashes a few times when it is on it’s lowest setting, then just press the button once more to turn it off. The third button is (*) and it gives a “turbo boost” of intense vibrations on any setting when pressed. If you hold the (*) button for a few seconds it will stay on that setting until you press it again. The turbo boost is a nice feature. The buttons are covered with silicone but I found them hard to press, even with my nails.

The sound coming from this vibe was a bit of a turn-off. Two motors can make a bit of noise. The nice thing about this vibe is that it is completely waterproof and submerge-able. In the bath tub this vibe’s sounds will be muffled quite a bit. I don’t have time for long baths full of playing with toys. Unfortunately, I only have time for showers with quick discreet orgasms. This toy is muffled by shower sounds, thankfully. It might be heard through a closed door if the house was quiet, so use a bit of white noise or turn on the television if you are scared of nosy ears.

Fun Factory uses a click n’ charge method for most of it’s rechargeable vibrators. I love that they are all standard and interchangeable. The Yooo recharger comes in a separate box but attaches magnetically to the logo to charge. Once it is charging the logo on the charger lights up, the light goes off once it reaches a full charge. The Yooo cannot be overcharged and the buttons flash intermittently when it is not in use. I think it is trying to tell me it still has power. Fun Factory calls this feature “magic touch”, it does it even when I don’t touch it.

To clean this vibe you can use soap and water, a sex toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. Fun Factory still doesn’t send us any kind of storage bag with their toys. If you are going to store this toy next to other sex toys, make sure they are compatible. The packaging for this toy was the standard Fun Factory box with the instructions, a leaflet showing the whole Fun factory line, and a sample of ToyFluid (a water-based lubricant made by Fun Factory).

This vibe can be used on the labia, perineum, breasts, around the shaft, or on the clitoris. It is fun for massage on almost any part of the body. I have included the video from Fun Factory pimping the Yooo since it shows more ways to use it then I have talked about and gives some fun illustrations.

The Yooo is available at HedoVibes.

Mojowijo

Mojowijo is a set of toys for him and her which uses new technology via a wii remote control over the internet. Unfortunately, this toy has more cons than pros. It is large and too cumbersome to be used well comfortably. It looks nice and reasonable in this picture doesn’t it?

Okay, so this vibe was a bit intimidating in size and instruction. I am a simple person. I just want a vibe to get me off. The thought of someone on the other side of the internet controlling my vibrator was a bit intriguing but it turns out to be much too complicated. Case and point the required hardware:

  • Nintendo WiiTM remote control (Note: Nintendo Wii Gaming Console is NOT required)
  • PC with Windows 7® operating system and a Bluetooth® adapter (Note: Windows XP® and Vista® operating systems are NOT SUPPORTED)
  • 1GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • High Speed Internet Connection
  • Active Skype® account

Once I got over the list I agreed to review this product. It came nicely packaged and included a sample of lube, the vibe itself, the wii remote holder extension and batteries for the vibe itself. The vibe takes two AAA batteries, the wii remote takes 2 AA batteries. Assuming you already have the wii controller, of course…

Underneath the foam cut out was a “use and pleasure guide” dvd with better instructions on how to use this vibe. It seems pretty simple but I never ended up using this vibe over the internet. The directions give more than enough to get you started. I imagine this could work if you will be seperated from your partner or just wanted someone else to have control. This vibe can be used a few different ways: the vibe by itself with no extension, the vibe with the extension giving you control or the vibe with the extension giving someone else control via the internet. The vibe has a few different “caps” that provide the base. Out of the box the vibe has the standard cap on it which has a turn style control on it.

Then you have to pick if you want to use it with the standard cap or add the wii remote to the handle.

The wii remote slides into the handle and some of the buttons are available through the windows. The remote can then be used to control the handle, or you can link up with Skype and the Mojowijo software and let someone else control this vibe for you. Mojowijo is planning to have chat room available where you can meet other players who have the software. The concept is great. The vibe will then be motion actiavted and someone can control the vibrations, once you connect to them, with just the flick of a wrist. The remotes will use the same technology that made wii so revolutionary.

Unfortunately, the vibrations are a bit diffuse. This would be great for my g-spot if the shaft was more solid. It does not provide enough pressure for me though.

It is much better with just the vibe sans the extension arm. Once I got the arm on it, it is too long to maneuver without cramping or being in an awkward angle. The shaft is flexible and feels hollow. It is kinda flimsy when pressure is applied. The shaft does have small raised bump which is nice for added stimulation when used externally on the clitoris. The vibration level is not strong enough for clitoral stimulation for me.

The male counterpart to this vibe is not useful at all. Miguel described it as “less than useless”. I hate to be so harsh about this but if you look at it with the handle you can see that this is no pleasure object, it is a big tease. Even without the handle, the shaft is too long to be held comfortably. Maybe if I ever need to try to stimulate Miguel with difuse buzzy vibratons on an open ring from like 6 feet away this vibe will come in handy. In the meantime, Miguel couldn’t give this any sort of good review. He hated it and said it didn’t even feel good. The textured ring is very flimsy and does not provide firm contact when used.

The Mojowijo is not waterproof, with all of the extra bit of electrical smartness that is to be expected I guess. The silicone is very smooth and not tacky at all.

This vibe had such a great concept, but it did not deliver where it really mattered. If they make one with more power anytime soon, I might be interested. For now I will only say this vibe will work if you like teaser vibrations on a flimsy shaft. As for the male version, I do not recommend this vibe at all.

I was supplied this toy free of charge in exchange for an un-biased review. This review is in compliance with the FTC guidelines.

Tantus Tsunami

The Tantus Tsunami is a smaller version of the Rippler with a vibrating bullet. The bullet fits snugly into a cut-out on the bottom of the dildo. I found this dildo to be a good fit with enough curves in the shaft to keep me stimulated.

Materials: Silicone (with plastic bullet)

Dimensions: 6.5″ x 1.5″

The Tantus Tsunami is a fun ride with ripples on the shaft that add serious stimulation. I am a bit torn on how to catagorize this toy. It is a dildo that vibrated, but it can be used without without the vibrator. The bullet in this vibe is remove-able, which means this toy can be used in a variety of ways. Aside from letting the bullet vibrate the shaft, you can also remove the bullet from the dildo and use it clitorally. I love to thrust this dildo, it feels wonderful on the vaginal opening. The curve of this dildo adds to g-spot stimulation. I like to start out with the vibrator inserted in the shaft. This vibe hits my g-spot so well and the buzzy vibrations are perfect for me. The bullet is a bit of a tight fit in the shaft of the dildo. I find putting a bit of water-based lubrication helps this bullet to slide out easier, for a quick change. Do not use silicone-based lubrication, it is not compatible with silicone toys.

This vibe is 100% body safe, ultra premium silicone, This dildo had no smell or taste out of the box. The base makes this toy perfect for anal play or with a harness. Also, unlike the Rippler, the width of the base is pretty standard. This dildo should fit most harnesses with a 1.5″ “o” ring. I think the vibrator will need to be removed if you use the dildo in a harness. I can see that with each thrust the button at the base of the vibrator will probably be activated. The shaft can be bent, it is a bit flexible but firm since it is pure silicone. This toy can be used by yourself or you can get a partner to help you with it. I think this dildo would be great for double-penetration, since the ripples will add extra stimulation for the male.

The bullet only has one speed. The bullet uses an N-1 battery, which is included. The bullet delivers serious buzzy vibrations. The bullet is pretty quiet and will not be heard through a closed door. The bullet is a standard size and could easily be replaced with another one down the road. All Tantus products are made to last a lifetime. The dildo itself is solid silicone except for the rounded hole in the shaft for the vibrator. To clean this you can use soap and water, a sex toy cleaner, a 10% bleach solution, boil it or even throw it in the dishwasher. The bullet is waterproof and could be submerged for cleaning as well. The silicone is a bit tacky so it will need washing prior to and after using. You may need a bit of water-based lubrication for insertion as well. I needed a bit of water-based lubrication for insertion with this tacky material.

This dildo comes in three colors: strawberry, midnight purple, and purple haze. I have the purple haze color and it is prettier than in these pictures. It has a multi-color haze, I love it! I had a lot of fun with this dildo and I highly recommend it! The Tantus Tsunami is available at SheVibe for $52.99.
