Matryoshka Review

“The little lady with the big secret”

The Matryoshka by Rianne S is a little toy that took me completely by surprise. Just like the little babushka dolls, this toy has a surprise inside. This toy is stylish, powerful, and discreet. It has become one of my favorite clitoral vibrators!

The Matryoshka is shaped like nothing else I own. It didn’t seem like it would be good for spot-on vibrations but I was so wrong. The toy is powerful and hit my clitoris just right. The small end is just wide enough to sit nestled in my labia. Of course the Matryoshka could be used for shallow internal penetration, but only about 1″ or so. It could also be used on other parts of the body such as the nipples or external perinuem. The smaller end is where almost all of the vibrations are located. The wider end, or base, does not vibrate nearly as much, so it is comfortable to hold onto. I found the vibrations to be quite enough to get me off clitorally. The vibrations are rumbly on the highest setting but more buzzy on the lower settings. The Matryoshka is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably inside my hand. I really liked the design of the Matryoshka and I found it to more comfortable to hold onto than most other clitoral vibes I own.

The Matryoshka is completely rechargeable. It has 5 levels of vibrations and 5 patterns. The toy is very easy to control. To turn it on touch either button. The top (~) button controls the patterns and bottom (o) button controls the speed of vibrations. The buttons on this toy are well placed and i did not find myself accidentally hitting them during play at all. The toy has a locking feature and it arrived locked. To unlock it just hold both buttons at the same time for 5 seconds, it locks the same way. The lock is a nice feature to use for traveling since the last thing I want is for my toy to vibrate in my bag on the way there. A two hour charge gives you two hours of play time with the Matryoshka. The toy is suppose to have a 90 day stand-by charge time. The Matryoshka is whisper quiet. This toy is quieter then a cell phone on vibrate.

The Matryoshka is made of plastic, but has a silicone covering over it that feels almost velvety. The Matryoshka is completely waterproof in its design. The silicone covering on this toy is smooth and firm. Being silicone means this toy is only compatible with water-based lubrication, do not use silicone based lubrication as it may ruin the finish. The base of this toy is plastic. The plastic bottom has two small metallic circles which match up with the prongs in the charger base. The charging base is a very discreet way to keep the toy out and still have it charged up. The base is a discreet plastic cylinder that is dark purple. The base itself plugs in and the cord has adaptable end for different types of wall outlets. The whole base can be unplugged to keep the toy from overcharging. The stand-by time for the Matryoshka is 90 days and the lights behind the buttons will blink and let you know when it needs a charge. To clean the Matryoshka just use soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. Make sure the toy is completely dry before charging it on the base.

The packaging for the Matryoshka was very nice. It came in a dark purple box with a book of instructions on how to use and care for the toy. The packaging came with a detailed book of all the Rianne S “sexual accessories” and the details of the one year warranty. The box also contained a small gold satin pouch with the name Rianne S on the side. I love that they included a travel pouch with this toy. That makes this toy even more travel friendly!

There is so much to love about this toy! It is discreet, waterproof, powerful, and easy to charge. I highly recommend the Matryoshka!

LELO Ina

The LELO Ina stole my heart. Not only is it beautiful to behold, it is easy to use, and feels incredible. I love the bright colors it is offered in, (orange, green and purple), and the matte silicone finish. The Ina is not flawless, but it’s pluses more than make up for it’s drawbacks.

The LELO Ina is soft matte silicone in a beautiful design. It fit my body very well. The clitoral arm has some flexibility, but springs back and gives constant pressure. I found the clitoral arm long enough to reach my clit, and firm enough to rumble me to orgasm. I loved the thick shaft design and curve. This vibe hit my g-spot without even trying. The vibrations were strong on the internal shaft and the clitoral arm. This vibe has deep, rumbly vibrations. The Ina has dual motors, but only one control panel. Some of the patterns do control just the shaft or just the clitoral arm. They do not function independently other than in those two patterns. LELO Ina has a 4 button interface which makes it pretty easy to use. The silicone inlay buttons are white and light up for 2 seconds when you change patterns. The buttons also lock the device for more discretion during traveling.

The (+) button turns the Ina on and increases the vibration intensity. The (-) button decreases the intensity and turns it off. The (↑) and (↓) scroll through the 8 patterns. In any of the patterns you can control the intensity with the (-) and (+) buttons. To lock the device, just hold down all the buttons for five seconds, do this again to unlock it. I found the controls easy to use. I didn’t study the manual before I used this product and it was very intuitive, at least for me.

The Ina is re-chargeable The buttons light up when you press them and flash red when it Ina needs to be charged. The recharging cord inserts under a silicone flap on the very tip of the plastic base. A 2 hour charge will get you 4 hours of play time. The motor is near silent. It will not be heard through a closed door. It may not even be detected under a blanket in the same room, depending on whether it is Ina-or out of your body.

The only bad news is that the LELO Ina is not water-proof, only splash-proof. The Ina cannot be submerged in water, or taken in the shower. Pity, really. I use a sex toy cleaner to clean this toy, but you can also use soap and water, just be careful not to get the control panel wet. Also, please note that silicone is only compatible with water-based lubrication. The silicone on this vibe is smooth and has very little drag. I found that just a small amount of lubrication was needed for insertion. The great thing about silicone is that it doesn’t absorb the lubrication. Silicone won’t harbor bacteria either.

The packaging for this product was very deluxe, as with all LELO products. The paper box covers a sturdy black box. The black box has a foam cut out and all the paperwork and the charger are neatly stored inside. The packaging also comes with a black satin bag that you can use to store the Ina. The bag has a drawstring. The packaging included a sample of water-based LELO lubrication, details on care and cleaning and the warranty information. All LELO products come with a 1 year warranty and a 10 year guarantee. The 1 year warranty is for a full replacement, the 10 year guarantee covers 50% of the cost of a replacment, after the one year warranty is up. I love a company that stands behind their products.

The retail price of the LELO Ina is $159.

Jopen Intensity Review

The Jopen Intensity is a sex toy like no other. It was originally designed to help women with kegel exercises. This toy vibrates, inflates, and gives muscle stimulating electric stimulation.

Let me start by saying this is a large toy. I was almost shocked when I took it out of the box. It weighs over 1lb. It does more than most toys so a bit of weigh is expected. The first thing I noticed was it’s bland exterior. It looks like a prototype or something. The Intensity takes 4 AAA batteries. (I know some sites claim it is rechargeable, it is definitely not.) Making this toy battery powered was something Jopen decided in order to cut costs. The good news is that it seems to be very good on battery life, I have not noticed a decrease in strength since I put the first set of batteries in.

I was eager to familiarize myself with the controls on the control panel. It has 5 buttons: a dedicated on/off button, two buttons to control the vibrations and two buttons to control the electrode stimulation. On the bottom, or butt, of the Intensity it has a soft spot that you can pump to inflate the shaft. The back also has a black deflate button, that lets all the air out. This toy is pretty easy to figure out how to use. How you want to use it is totally up to you. Since it is primarily silicone I used a water-based lubricant all over the shaft, inserted it, then inflated it. The package comes with 2 oz. of electrode gel, this will need to be applied to both sides every single time you use the electrode stimulation.

So once I figured out the controls, I was eager to put this toy to use. Being that the Intensity is a bit intimidating, I was very careful to read all of the instructions. Jopen has included a booklet full of information with the Intensity. The instructions say to use water-based lubrication on the shaft, electrode gel on the metal electrode pads, and to inflate it after it is inserted. I will admit that the controls were very easy to access even after it was inserted, so the size of this toy is justified.

I started off with the vibrations. The clitoral shaft on this toy is quite long and flexible with two flexible “ears”. The shaft features a bump which also vibrates and works well to stimulate the pelvic muscles. The vibrations have 5 modes, go from about a 2-4 vroom and are fairly buzzy. This toy is not quiet and discreet, but a bit of backround noise will keep it from being heard through a closed door. The electrodes stimulate very well, I was able to feel them on their lowest setting. They omit no noise at all. My body responded right away and I could feel my muscles tightening up.

The problem I had with this product, and I might be totally unique in my experience, was that I automatically “tighten-up” my pelvic muscles with any stimulation. I noticed the electrodes at first, then I turned the vibrations on and forgot about the electrodes for a minute. I stopped feeling the electrodes working. I had to relax my muscles in order to feel it again. As you can imagine, this was a complete distraction and I was unable to orgasm with this product. I have to admit that I have not used all the levels of stimulation yet. There are 10 levels and I have only worked myself up to 6 of them. I should mention here that others that have tried this product have reported multiple orgasms from it. I do find it very easy to exercise my kegels with this product, and it is very pleasurable even without the electrodes. I am still benefiting from using the Intensity, just not the way some women do.

To clean the Intensity, do not immerse this in water. It is not waterproof. I use a sex toy cleaner spray, but you can you a 10% bleach solution mixed with water and wipe it down. The packaging for the Intensity was a paper box covering a very discreet dark purple box. It has a black foam cut out with a space for the Intensity, the electrode gel and the instructions. The cut out left black lint all over the silicone of the Intensity, so I took it out. The box serves as a very discreet way to store the Intensity.

Leaf Fresh

The Fresh is a toy by Leaf. Inspired by nature it is eco-friendly. Made with the power of a lithium polymer battery and encased in body safe silicone. This vibe is one of 6 that Swan Vibes has produced. These may be the best clitoral vibes on the market today. Yes, I just said that. I love the Leaf vibes and the Fresh is a shining example of what a clitoral vibe should be.

Besides the awesome color, the Fresh has smooth feel to it with a slight drag. (Sorry this vibe only comes in green) It is covered with body safe-silicone which is phthalate-free and latex free. It will pick up lint and hair so I recommend washing it before and after using it. The Fresh delivers a steady vibe and delivers strong rumbly vibrations. The Fresh fits perfectly into my hand and is easy to maneuver to just the perfect spot. The size makes it ultra discreet as I can hide this in my hand. The Fresh is also ultra quiet, as loud as a cell phone on vibrate. The Fresh is completely water-proof as well. There is a hole along one of the sides, or more like the bottom, for the charging cord but no water can get into it, even when it is submersed. Cool, quiet, and waterproof!

The Fresh is specifically designed for clitoral stimulation. It has both a smooth and a pointy edge for diffuse or pin-point stimulation. It is rechargeable and very easy to use. The Fresh has only one button. Hold it down till you find the strength of steady vibration that suits your fancy. The light under the button blinks until you get to the highest setting, at which point the lights gets steady. Hit the button just once more to turn it off. No patterns on the Fresh, just a steady vibe. I never have much use for patterns with a clitoral vibe anyways. I don’t miss the patterns at all. This vibe goes from still to rumbly madness in about 5 seconds. The one button has a silicone overlay and works at the slightest touch. I have never accidentally hit this during play, the placement of the button is perfect for me and doesn’t get in the way. The button also locks for easy storage, just click it three times fast and it is safe for travel. To unlock, just click it three times really fast again and it is ready to use.

All the Leaf vibes come with a storage pouch, which is cotton weave. It is a brown-ish color with the Leaf name and logo on it. Not 100% discreet but it doesn’t scream sex toy either. The Fresh and the power cord could fit into the storage pouch. Even the power cord for this toy is cool. The cord has the Leaf logo on it! Okay, maybe it is not worth the exclamation point for some people but I have about 30 power cords. They all look pretty much the same. This is really important for Leaf since an accidental plug-in with the wrong cord may ruin you toy. For me it just means I don’t have to do too much guess work. All the Leaf cords are the same size and are interchangeable. Charge this toy for 2 hours and you get 1 hour and 15 mins of play on it’s highest setting.

The Fresh came to me in an eco-friendly looking box. I am not really a tree-hugger but even I could appreciate the packaging. The box closes with a magnet. The Fresh included a booklet in 7 different languages. This product is actually manufactured by BMS International, which is in Canada. If that sounds a bit familiar to you, it may be because BMS makes all the bullets you find in Tantus toys. Everything inside the box was wrapped in plastic, so much for the tree-hugger thing. Maybe they are just tree lovers. I know I am getting there, to tree love that is. All the Leaf vibes are inspired by natural shapes of leaves. I am thinking nature is awesome and the design of this toy is pure genius. The box is big enough to store everything, and even a little something else if you need it to. I keep my Fresh in it’s pouch and in my purse. With this discreet design it is perfect for travel.

All the Leaf vibes come with a one year warranty. This toy is remarkably easy to care for. Wash it with soap and water, a 10% bleach solution or use a sex toy cleaner. The silicone on this toy is only compatible with water-based lubrication. You probably won’t need much lube with this though. The Fresh can be used for a rumbly little massage on any part of the body, but I recommend keeping it external. It is almost too small for anything internal anyways.

This vibe is so small I really had low expectations for it. I was so delightfully surprised with the amount of vibrations it delivered and the sheer pleasure it brought me. As you can see this vibe will fit very nicely between bodies during intercourse and will not be too much in the way when combined with a dildo or anal toy. It is the perfect size for delivering spot-on stimulation. I love my new Fresh Vibe by Leaf. I highly recommend this vibe for the newbie or the advanced user. It rivals my MiMi by Je Joue in strength and it is just as small and discreet. It is easier to use then the MiMi and just as quiet. Leaf is my new favorite line of toys!

Most stores carry this at almost full retail price, which is a steep $130! I think this toy is worth a lot of money, but why spend full price when you can get it at FunWares for only $73.95! That is over $50 less than the competition! That isn’t a sale price either, the prices are just that much lower than the competition. LELO Tiani

The LELO Tiani is a couple’s vibe with a remote. It is both rechargeable and takes batteries. The batteries are for the remote, and the Tiani itself recharges. This toy is really innovative and cutting edge, but the technology isn’t quite there for flawless technology. I found the remote reception is a bit sketchy, especially during sex. I do not expect flawless technology. This toy was a lot of fun, as long as you don’t expect perfection.

Materials: Silicone and Plastic

Features: Waterproof, Rechargeable, Works up to 39 feet away (sometimes), Easy to Clean, 8 Fun Modes, Slim insertable arm makes sex comfortable, Whisper quiet motor.

The remote has three buttons, (-) (0) (+) and the Tiani itself has one. To turn it on you have to press the button on the Tiani and then press the (+) on the remote. Both the remote and the Tiani have a blinking light when they are activated. The Tiani has 8 fun modes. I recommend mode 3-8 for solo play or during sex. Modes 1 & 2 are so much fun for discreet play under clothes and while having your partner wield the remote. I have had the remote work across the room at a club and then had trouble with it only a few feet away. It works best on a full charge and with no “bodies” in the way. This toy is so much fun for discreet play. The design and volume will not be detected under clothes. The remote is very discreet as well, unless you know this toy you won’t recognize it as a sex toy remote.

MODE 1: The Tiani starts in this mode once it is turned on. Hold the controller flat, then you can tilt the remote to increase or or decrease the level of vibration of the toy.
MODE 2: Press the (0) button. This is the shake mode. The faster you shake the remote the more intense the vibrations will get. If you don’t move the controller, the toy does not vibrate.
MODE 3: Press the (0) button twice. Then (+) will increase the vibrations, (-) will decrease the vibrations. The (0) button will now cycle through the patterns, and eventually back to MODE 1.
MODE 4: Long Vibrations with a short pause
MODE 5: Faster vibrations with a shorter pause
MODE 6: Building Vibrations Low to High, with no pause.
MODE 7: Cycling vibrations low to high, much slower
MODE 8: Random Pattern

Modes 3-8 can be increased or decreased to your liking. After syncing once you can turn the remote to save the battery, the Tiani will “stand-by” for up to 45 mins. So I got this toy and charged it for about 2 hours before I played with it. Then I inserted the 2 AAA batteries into the remote. The Tiani gets 1 hour of play time and the remote gets 10 hours of playtime on a full charge. The gold colored side of the remote screws off with a special key for changing the batteries. The Tiani unscrews near the gold plastic band to reveal the charging port. I recommend playing around with it for a while to get a feel for how it functions before actually “playing” with it. There is a bit of a learning curve in getting the Tiani to do what you want.

Since this is a couples vibe, I pitted this against the original couple’s vibe…the We-Vibe 3. It is now remote controlled as well. It is very similar and very different. I made a short video showing the differences.

Getting back to the LELO Tiani. It is covered in matte silicone and, since it waterproof, it is easy to care for. Use a water-based lubricant only on this toy. LELO is really nice and includes a sample of their water-based lubricant in their packaging. The packaging is very deluxe and what I would expect from LELO. It comes with the 2 AAA batteries for the remote, an insignia broach, an instruction booklet, the 1 year warranty, and a silk pouch. The box can be used for discreet storage or you can use the pouch. The LELO Tiani is a very light toy. It almost feels hollow, the total weight is 1.1oz. That is so light you barely know it is there, until of course you turn it on. The pouch makes this toy easy to travel with. The strength of vroom on the Tiani is about a 3.5 out of 5.

Despite the spotty remote, I think this toy is genius! The Tianis small insertion arm and rounded clitoral arm made this toy for me perfectly. It is is not as strong as the We-Vibe 3, but it doesn’t slide around as much during sex either. During sex I usually just find a mode and forget about the remote anyways. When I wore it out I found it to be more comfortable to wear under clothes than the We-Vibe 3. I liked this vibe a lot. If you were ever curious about SenseMotion technology, the LELO Tiani is a great toy to start with.

Tantus Echo

I really like this vibrating mass of silicone from Tantus. The ridges are excellent for gripping with PC muscles. It feels fantastic when it is warmed to body temperature.

All Tantus products are made to last. They use the highest premium silicone found in the market. It is body-safe even for people with sensitive skin. The silicone is bleach-able, boil-able, odorless, hypoallergenic, and phthalate free. Silicone can also be cleaned with soap and water or any sex toy cleaner. Can you tell how excited I am to be reviewing for Tantus? I am a big fan of this company. They only make body safe products.

Okay, so this toy arrived to me in a plastic, partially see-through box. It is not very discreet. The box has all the information you need to know about Tantus. They make some bold statements on the box and they stand behind their product.On the packaging it says:

A Toy from Tantus is meant to be used. With minimal care, Tantus Toys can last a lifetime.

The writing on the box is in English mostly, with small blurbs in German, French and Spanish on the side.

The 2″ plastic bullet came separated from the dildo on the side of the Echo. The bullet was wrapped in plastic and is manufactured by B.M.S. Enterprises. The bullet takes three watch batteries, which are included. Use a bit of water-based lubrication on the bullet and insert it into the hole at the base of the Echo. (Silicone is only compatible with water-based lubrication.) The bullet is a bit tricky to get in and out w/o any lubrication. I found that squeezing the shaft at the end of the bullet and pulling the bullet helps to pop it out. The base has a nice flare to it, making it safe for anal play and harness compatible.

The vibrations from the small bullet travel surprisingly well up the shaft. The only part that sucks is that the bullet button sticks out when it is inserted. Using this toy with a harness might be difficult without accidentally hitting the button. I found myself hitting the button accidentally during play as well. Luckily, I am not fully committed to using the bullet that was provided. The hole is pretty standard and I am sure I will find something that will suit my harness demands. In the meantime, I have this awesome silicone dildo. It is not only beautiful but safe for use anally or vaginally. It might be too big for some users anally, it seems too big for me at the moment. Maybe after some warming up with my new Tantus Ryder I might be able to use this.

The head is a bit larger than the rest of the shaft. The textured ridges felt incredible for thrusting. I do recommend warming this up a bit before use. I washed this right before using it the first time with a sex toy cleaner and cold water, the Echo was cold for quite a bit before it warmed up to my body temperature. Silicone is good like that for temperature play. I don’t like cold, so I was sure to use warm water for cleaning prior to use after that experience.

I store this toy in a drawer with all my other dildos. Make sure to keep silicone away from other materials such as TPR, Latex and Jelly. Also, do not use silicone lubrication with this toy, it will ruin the finish and make it smell. I store the bullet separate since the button is so sensitive and sticks out a bit. Silicone can safely be stored with glass, metal, other pure silicone, and plastic toys.

The Tantus Echo retails for $65.99, it is on closeout sale at Tantus right now so you can get it for only $34.99. This is an excellent buy for such a quality toy.

LELO Soraya

I got the LELO Soraya for review this month. The Soraya is a rabbit with deep rumbly vibrations. This rabbit is made with silicone and gold colored plastic inner loops on the main shaft. The clitoral arm is completely silicone and has a spring type mechanism that keeps it’s shape and gives firm pressure, but still allows for movement.

The Soraya is rechargeable. The charger connects at the base through a small hole. It blinks when it is charging and stays steady when it has a full charge. The instructions say to charge the Soraya monthly. It needs to charge for 2 hours, and that gives you 4 hours of playtime. It has a standby of up to 90 days.

The Soraya has a three button interface with 8 modes. The (+) button turns it on and increases the vibrations on any mode. The () middle button controls the modes. The (-) turns the vibration level down and turns it off. The modes vary from steady to pulsing to escalating. They also alternate vibrations on either the shaft or the clitoral arm, and they have a mode that isolates either one from vibrating if you can’t handle them both. The modes give lots of variety for building to climax or can go full-on to get you there quick.

The LELO Soraya comes in deluxe packaging. All LELO products come with their own storage pouch as well. Lelo boasts a 1 year warranty and 10 year guarantee. The details of both are included as well as a booklet on care and maintenance. The booklet says that the toy is not waterproof. Looking at the Lelo website, it says it is. I can tell you that this toy is completely waterproof. I have taken this in the shower, and submerged it for cleaning. Yeah, I love waterproof toys! Being silicone means it is only compatible with water-based lubrication. I haven’t needed to use any lube with this toy. The curved shaft tip means it is easy to insert, even for beginners.

Cleaning the Soraya is fairly easy, just use a sex toy cleaner, wipe, or soap and water. The silicone and plastic on my Soraya meet together for a seamless look and feel. The Soraya can be stored in either the deluxe box it came in or the satin pouch that they include. The satin pouch is black on the outside and white satin lined on the inside. The charger and Soraya both fit easily in the storage pouch. The packaging of this toy makes it a great gift.

This toy has re-defined for me what g-spot + clitoral stimulation should be. The shaft is curves at a slight angle to keep firm pressure on the g-spot as it rumbles. The shaft is firm. The loop near the base allows for easy re-adjustment and allows a grip for thrusting. I have to admit that the 8th mode is my favorite. That mode makes both the shaft and the clitoral arm vibrate. I like to turn it all the way up and trust. The LELO Soraya has all but ruined me for rabbit reviews. It has set a new standard for what a toy can feel like and sound like. The Soraya is very quiet. It is much quieter than any rabbit I own. The Soraya takes the best parts of the shaft vibrator and combined them with clitoral vibrations that are strong enough to make the perfect rabbit. I am in lust with the Soraya.
