Books To Movies I Need to Watch ~Top 10 Tuesday

Reading time 3 mins

toppsTop 10 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by TheBrokeandtheBookish.

There are so many movies being made from books. It’s awesome to see a book on the big screen.

These are a few I am really looking forward to!

 MockingJay part 2

Watching this is inevitable. I can hardly wait. I hope it is at least half as good as the book.

The Martian

Ditto what I said about Mockingjay. I just hope Matt Damon can pull of Mark Watney.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Just because I love the classic and zombies.

These are a few already released that I want to watch.

The Hobbit

This was the first book I read, so it is just a shame I haven’t watched these movies yet.

The Fault In Our Stars

I know, everyone has seen this movie. I plan to watch it, right after I read the book. When I need a good cry apparently.

Still Alice

Ditto what I said about TFIOS. I need this book. This topic is close to my heart. See! This is the problem with blogging ahead. I had no idea I would have already this by November 10th. Oh well!

What movies from books are on your TBW (to be watched) list?

Ugh! I totally forgot about Wild. I love Reese and I think I have seen all of her movies. So I definitely will be watching that, hopefully reading it first though.

Oh, i didn’t realize Still Alice is based on a book!!! I haven’t seen the movie yet but I’ll make sure to check it out! Gosh, I almost forgot about The Martian. Wasn’t a fan of the book, but I feel like the whole concept translates way better on the big screen. They just found the perfect actor for Mark Watney in Matt Damon!

Mh, I think the only movies I’m behind on are Beautiful Creatures and Ruby Red. I have no idea why I still haven’t watched those.

I am sure Matt Damon can pull of Watney. I watched Beautiful Creatures a while ago, now I can’t remember what it is about… Thanks for checking out my list!

Nice list!! The Martian is an awesome movie. I just saw it a couple of weeks ago… I realize now that I forgot to add The Book Thief to my list this week too as I still have to read this book or watch the movie adaptation.

Here’s a link to my TTT post for this week:

I think my daughter has a copy of The Book Thief, I haven’t read it or seen the movie. I know I probably should but I got way too much TBR at the moment.

The Hobbit is good but I think it should have been two movies at the most, it kinda felt stretched to me (just like Bilbo felt in LOTR).

The Martian better be good as the book was excellent, I haven’t heard a bad review yet for it.

Still Alice I keep meaning to check out as I love Julianne Moore, in fact I think she is in Mockingjay too?

When I heard it was a trilogy I decided not to bother with it. It made sense for TLOR to be a trilogy, because it was 3 books. Although, a heck of a lot happens in The Hobbit….idk.
Juliane Moore is in Mockingjay, she is the leader of District 13.

I really want to see P&P&Z and The Martian! Must get around to reading them too! Despite the massive diversions in The Hobbit movies, I still love them! I think I just love being in Middle Earth no matter what takes me there.

I know! I love Middle Earth too, especially when you consider how much money they spent trying to make it come to life.

But just… what are we supposed to do AFTER Mockingjay? My life may have lost a good chunk of its meaning 🙁 Also, I want to see The Martian but I need to read the book. AND you need to see TFIOS! I loved it 🙂

Then we can talk about the books versus the movie. Do you think people are fanatic about the movies the way they were about the books? Do you think it will get people to read the books? We will always be referring back to this epic series as the one that made us loose our minds. I stopped living the week I read trilogy. I was frantic to get all 3 books (thankfully, I had a kindle and they were all out already). I had to re-evaluate my life knowing there were books that could make me FEEL the feels like that. The drama, the angst, the ships….there will always be someway to incorporate HG in your life.
