I am always looking for inexpensive products that I can actually recommend. I know we are not all on a budget that includes over $100 sex toys. I am very picky. I want it to feel good, be easy to use, be made with safe materials, and not be too loud. It seems there are few toys with all this that won’t break the bank. Let me introduce you to the Divine Balance from Cal Exotics… It meets all my standards and is available for less than $30!
Materials: Silicone & ABS Plastic
Dimensions: 7.75” x 1.25” (head 2.75” x 1.25”)
I really didn’t think too much of this when I first looked at it. The Divine Balance takes 2 AAA batteries, so I didn’t think it would be powerful enough for me. Even with the batteries in it it is really light and feels flimsy. The head is really easy to maneuver, which usually translates to no pressure for my spoiled clitoris. My first impressions were wrong. This toy is pretty awesome and really worked well for me.
The vibe has a one button interface with three speeds. The button is silicone covered and has (3S) written on it, which actually means 3 speeds. [1.Okay, who cares? Except that it bothered me enough to research what it could possibly mean, then it was like, Oh Duh!] You click through the settings, the fourth click turns it off. All three speeds are a steady vibe. The noise factor was something that really surprised me. On the first setting it is barely audible. The second setting it is a low hum. The last setting is a bit high pitched, so not entirely discreet. I would be curious to know what frequency this toy play on. I almost couldn’t stand it on high. I actually prefer this vibe on the 2nd setting.
I know it looks like it has the potential to disappoint but I think the head of this toy makes all the difference. The head of this toy is covered with a two prong silicone cap. Since the cap is removable it makes this toy easier to clean. I needed to use a bit of finesse to get the cap off and back on again, but I was able to do it. I was a bit sad that the toy was not waterproof, but I guess I can’t have everything. Silicone is compatible with water-based lubrication. It can be clean by boiling, washing with soap and water, using a 10% bleach solution, or a sex toy cleaner. The body and head of this toy is made of ABS plastic and can be cleaned by wiping it down.
They head on the Divine Balance looks like bunny ears and they are really pliable. Again, this is not a pressure producer adding to my disbelief that this toy could be enjoyable. The silicone ears of the head carry vibrations to create two prongs of vibrating pleasure. I loved the feel of this vibe. From the first click I was impressed with its quietness and it power. I know, you can’t believe that a toy with 2 AAA batteries could provide power. It does though. I prefer this toy on the second setting because the third setting is almost too much. (I don’t want to have a Forrest Gump before I even get comfortable.) I love to run this vibe over my clitoris, it feels fantastic. I can apply slight pressure and the ears still carry the vibe. If I want I can also hold the head directly on my clitoris for more coverage over my labia and clitoris.
The Divine Balance runs on 2 AAA batteries. I had a hard time trying to figure out how to get the compartment open. I had to flip it open with my thumb and then it popped off really easily. The cap has thumb grips, but it still took me a few minutes to figure it out.
The box for this vibe has a flap that shows off the vibe. This is a bit of an upgrade from Cal Exotics usual box, but it is still not very discreet. It has lots of information about the toy. Unfortunately, the box does not include batteries.
