This is a toy I have wanted since I first started reviewing toys. The LELO Mia is a discreet little lipstick shaped vibe that charges with a USB port. It has a two button interface and is very easy to use. I read a plethora of reviews and the general consensus was that the vibrations were weak. They were probably too weak for me and I didn’t want to get this toy and be disappointed.  Then I found a thread on a forum that said that all the black Mia’s were updated and had stronger vibrations! I wrote LELO right away and asked if I could review an updated black Mia. The rep from LELO said that all the Mia’s had been updated, not just the black one and she offered to send me one for review.

The Mia they sent me was the Deep Rose colored one. The Mia is also available in petal pink and black. I am happy to tell you that the vibrations were not weak. While they were not quite as strong as the Leaf line of vibes, I think this level of vibrations will be sufficient for most woman to get off on them. The vibrations were enough to satisfy me. The vibrations are deep and rumbly. The Mia offers a few levels of steady vibrations and three pulsing patterns at varied speeds, all on the highest vibration. To turn Mia on, just hold down the (+) button for a few seconds. Then you can push the (+) button again to increase the vibrations, pressing the (-) button will decrease the vibrations and eventually turn it off once it gets down to the lowest setting again. To get to the patterns just turn Mia to the highest vibration setting and hold the (+) button down until it starts to pulse.

The Mia charges with a USB port, so it can be plugged right into your computer. It also comes with an extension USB cord that can be plugged in if you have an adapter or for charging on the computer at a distance. Mia will need to charge 1 hour to give you 1.5 hours of playtime. The vibrations are near silent, about as loud as a cell phone on vibrate. I must report here that there is something loose in my Mia that vibrates. A small cap or something inside? I can hear it when I shake the Mia. I am sure LELO would replace it if I mentioned it to them, but it is not bothering anything right now. All LELO products come with a 1 year warranty and a 10 year guarantee. They will replace it for free during the 1 year warranty and after that you pay only 50% to get a brand new model. I have taken Mia out and let others play with her, to get additional feedback, and it may have been dropped or something. I don’t know, really. All the feedback I got was very positive, every girl has loved the Mia so far.

The downside is that the Mia is not waterproof. Since the cap comes off so easily for charging, it does not offer a waterproof band to keep it dry. With the shape of this vibe I seem to only need to clean the tip where the vibrations are the strongest. I use a spray-on sex toy cleaner, but it can also be cleaned with an isopropyl alcohol or soap and water. Just be sure to keep water away from the removable cap. The controls are covered with silicone and seem to be waterproof.

I found the Mia very easy to use. I love the discreet look of this vibe. The shape really resembles a lipstick. The Mia comes in deluxe packaging that includes: details of the warranty, a small black satin storage pouch with a drawstring, a small instruction booklet, and a sample of LELO water-based lubrication. It all comes in a paper box which comes in the color of your toy. Inside the paper box is a black box with the LELO logo and the toy safely nestled inside.

I was very impressed with this little lipstick vibe. It has become one of my favorite vibes. It is quiet and discreet. The design is so discreet it could easily be mistaken for an over-sized flash drive. I love that it charges on my computer, since I am on it so much. This vibe is great for pin-point clitoral stimulation or it can be used on other erogenous zones with the labia, external anus, nipples, perineum, and scrotum. I do not advise using this internally since it is so small.

The LELO Mia retails for $64. This vibe is well worth that selling price, and probably more. A discreet lipstick sized vibe that never needs batteries. The Mia has a special place in my heart, and my handbag!
