MiPole Professional Dance Pole

I got a MiPole Professional Dance Pole from FunWares a few weeks ago. I am loving this pole for it’s easy set up and professional feel. If you have ever thought about getting a dance pole for your house, this should be it! For some reason looking at the picture on the website, I thought this would be smaller? The box it came in was pretty large and weighed about 18 lbs. It is a full sized professional pole. It comes complete with a carry case for storage and portability. I can’t imagine taking his out and setting it up at anyone’s house, but I never know what the future holds…

The set comes with everything you need to set it up except two things….a stud finder and and a level. Ideally, you would want to install this on a flat surface with a concrete ceiling. I have a popcorn ceiling so I needed the stud finder to hit the beams on my ceiling. I use the level to make sure the pole is straight once I get it assembled.

Once I got it all layed out, I had the two bases, two long poles, 2 shorter poles, two adapter type attachments (that fit in the smaller poles), a base piece and the tool (which looks like a hook). The set also included instructions with diagrams and two star pink nipple pasties.

All in all, it took about 2 hours for us to actually put it up. The next time it was much easier and only took about 15 minutes. It is fairly easy to take down and put back up. I prefer to leave it up somewhere, but I kinda don’t want the pole in my Christmas pictures, ya know..My living room is the only place with enough room for me to use the pole. I just hope when we move our bedroom will be big enough for a more permanent set-up of his pole.

This pole works on virtually any surface. It won’t work on vaulted ceiling, the two bases should be flat. I have wood floors, but this product is suppose to work on carpet and tile as well. I have not had this pole let me down. It stays up as long as I remember to tighten it before each use. It is the perfect diameter for spinning and various other pole exercise. I really like this pole and I would recommend it.

To put it together just screw the long pieces together. Then attach the base to the long screw looking pole. (Use the allan wrench for that)

Attach the long pole you just created to the screw looking base.

Then, find the right sized attachments to fit your ceiling and plug them in.

Once you get it snug, adjust the screw lock and tighten it up.

Then slide the aesthetic cover over the exposed metal.

This pole will fit ceilings up to 9′. It is very stable when it is properly installed and will support up to 250lbs. It does not screw in the ceiling of the floor so it will not create unsightly looking holes. I have a popcorn ceiling and it did not damage it at all. I am very pleased with the MiPole Professional Dance Pole.¬† My performance on the pole, however, needs more practice.

My only complaint about this pole is that the base cover has a pronounced lip on it. This does hurt when I slide on it since it is not completely flush. The flip side would be having the adjustments be on top, which would make them much harder to get to. I can overlook that flaw to have a sturdy dance pole that is still portable. I would highly recommend this pole, it is a great deal for the price!

Thanks so much to FunWares for sending me this product to review. You can get a MiPole Professional Dance Pole for yourself at FunWares.
