Hello Lovelies! Welcome to my weekly wrap up!
I got so much reading done this week. It has been a great week in that respect. I am still 2 reviews behind but it is nice to be getting so many books off my TBR and into my to-be-reviewed pile. I like that pile better.
This week was a bit better for me at work. I took on a project and it has kept me busy and focused on improving things for my co-workers and for myself. I am trying to create a schedule for my unit that has us all working 4 days a week instead of 5 by working two 12 hour shifts and two eight hour shifts. To make a long story short, it has been very difficult to accommodate everyone and I still have no idea if the boss will seriously take it into consideration. That is a little disheartening but it has been kinda fun for us all to imagine having three days off a week. I’ll let you know how it goes.
My son has taken up boxing with his best friend. They have attended 2 boxing classes so far and I am so proud of my son for attempting this. The classes are grueling and one hour long. I feel very lazy just watching but I have plans to join them soon if they stick with it. The only down side is that it is like $50 a month for each person to attend the gym. I don’t mind paying for it if he attends. It is a good investment. I saw a few women in those classes and they had like no fat on their bodies. They were not just skinny, but strong. I want that so bad for myself. Again. It’s never too late to start, right?
This coming week, my mother is having knee replacement surgery. If that sounds familiar, that’s because I went through knee replacements with my Miguel 2 years in a row recently. It is kinda funny but this will be the third year in a row that I will be taking care of someone with a brand new knee in the month of August. Her surgery is set for Thursday and I am taking 5 days off to take care of the kids and then her when she gets home. Fingers crossed that everything goes smooth for her.
Fitness this week:
I was suppose to attend a boxing class with my son, his best friend, and his best friend’s Mom, but it got cancelled (by my son’s friend). Hopefully next week. I won the Fitbit workweek challenge with my co-workers this week, so there’s that.
Last week I posted:
Next week I plan to post:
