Hello Lovelies! Welcome to my weekly wrap up!
Did you survive Thanksgiving and Black Friday? I barely did. This year Thanksgiving was a success. The meal was yummy! We ordered our meal from Cracker Barrel this year, and it turned out good. Cracker Barrel was packed! They had buses there and lines of people out the door. Inside tensions were high as wait times were long. I had a good laugh about it, tbh. It’s just dinner ya know.
We put up our x-mas tree on Thanksgiving. My kids were so excited about that. I let my kids purchase a new ornament every year. Usually I procrastinate about this and do it the week of x-mas. This year I got it done early. I also managed to hand lights outside. It was a little rough because there were no hooks outside. (seriously, no one who has lived in the last 40 years hung up x-mas lights? what the actual fuck!) I hung the hooks and the lights and now our house looks kinda festive. At least I think so. I will post pictures later, maybe next week. I didn’t think to take pictures last night and during the day it doesn’t look as pretty.
Black Friday found me with actual money in the bank. I am delighted to report that that money is now all gone. I did most of my shopping online, but I did find myself at a Target yesterday at some point. It was pretty packed, but not as bad as I thought it would be. We also bought a new convertible couch. I don’t know how to explain it. It converts to a full size bed, but it’s not exactly a sleeper. It will serve as a bed for my Mom while she stays here. I also found a really good deal on the perfect dresser for her and placed it into the book room. I also found a great Black Friday deal on a TV for her. Everything is set for her 3 month stay. My Mom will be here next Saturday.
I kinda lost track of the days and missed a few posting days this past week. I finished reading a few books and then before I knew it, it was Thanksgiving, and Beyond the Books needed to go up. The week kinda got away from me. I am hoping to get some more stuff posted next week. I am a bit behind, but it feels good to have things to post. Ya know? That sounds crazy, but not having anything to post feels worse then being behind on posts for me.
This Thursday the new Beyond the Books will be posted. This week we are discussing What does financial freedom look like to you?
