Hello Lovelies! Welcome to my weekly wrap up!
The countdown begins! I am so close to three major events here; Thanksgiving, my Mother’s visit, and a new job.
First, I will be working (again) on Thanksgiving. Usually it is not a busy day and people are grateful for someone to be available on a holiday. I had already agreed to work it before I turn in my notice, so now I just got to hope my new job won’t expect me to work Christmas and/or New Years. My Miguel and I decided to make Thanksgiving an easy meal and we are ordering out this year from Cracker Barrel. I still want the turkey, but I don’t want the responsibility to fall to my daughter Belle. If the meal sucks, I will just pick a random day to make a turkey myself sometimes in the coming weeks. I am sure it will be fine though. *crosses fingers*
My Mother is going to be here December 3rd. Since she will be staying until around March, we had to come up with a more permanent placement for her. My Miguel graciously decided she should have our room, since it is on the first floor, and we should move to the basement. His knee is almost completely healed but my Mother can’t do stairs. Our basement is mostly insulated, so it is only a few degrees difference between it and the rest of the house. I am hoping this move will be smooth and she will feel comfortable in my home.
I am really excited to (hopefully) be starting my new job on December 12. They actually called me to let me know things are moving along. That was really nice and put my mind at ease. I am trying not to worry too much and just focus on giving my current employer 100%. As much as I just want to not care, I need to take everything seriously until the day I turn in my computer. I don’t want to pass responsibility off to anyone else. My patients absolutely need that from me.
This Thursday the new Beyond the Books will be posted. This week we are discussing Happy Thanksgiving! How are you celebrating this year?
