This year was pretty memorable for me when it comes to authors. I have added some new auto-buy authors in 2016. Here is a few I am so happy I got read this year:

Peirce Brown

I am so glad I decided to binge read this series. Of course, I haven’t actually read Morning Star yet because I am not ready for it to be over. I am kinda waiting for Mr.Brown to publish something else before I finish this series.

Mindy McGinnis

This writing is so good, and a little dark. I bought a few other of her books and I can’t wait to read them all.

Catherine McKenzie

I am so glad I got to meet this author at Book Expo America this year. The covers are interesting, and the writing is addictive. New auto-buy author for the win.

Sabaa Tahir

I was really excited about this series. I can’t wait to read the conclusion to this trilogy. Sabaa is a talented writer and a beautiful person.

Cinda Williams Chima

I was so blown away by this book. I went out and bought the whole Seven Realms series so I could catch up on this world. I hope I get to read them before Shattered Realms comes out! (no pressure there)

Shalini Boland

I do love thrillers. I love when an author can scare me in different situations. Ms.Boland has got a lot of talent for writing edge-of-your-seat type stories.

Joe Hill

How did I miss it when Stephen King’s son became an author? The style is very similar to his father’s early work. I can’t wait to read his next story.

Jenny Moyer

Jenny wrote one of my favorite books of 2016. I am undoubtedly going to read everything she has written. Ever.

Kiersten White

This author took my favorite myth, Dracula, and imaged a female protagonist instead. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

Other new to me authors that I highly recommend:

Black Couch (Dark Matter) my worst sci-fi nightmare in reading format, excellent

S. J. Kincaid (The Diabolic) kick-ass genetically modified heroine falls in love

Thomas Mullen (Darktown) the first black cops breaking down racial barriers

Scott Stambach (The Invisible Life of Ivan Isaenko) a fictional child of Chernobyl I will never forget
