This week has been so long for me. My Yorkshire Terrier, Buster, got his baby teeth pulled on Wednesday. I was really nervous, but everyone told me it was necessary to prevent problems later. He still had like 8 baby teeth and he would get things stuck between them. So I dropped him off on Wednesday morning at the Veterinarian’s office. Around five I went and picked him up. They told me he would be groggy and probably wouldn’t do much but lay around for the first 24 hours. They brought him out, and I have never seen him in a worse state. Buster, the dog that was attacked by a Pit Bull last year, whined at every exhale and shook the whole night long. I barely slept at all. Everyday he got a little bit better, but even Friday morning he didn’t have enough energy to walk to the kid’s bus stop with me like he always does. He would get out there and just stop, so I had to pick him up, or take him home. This was really heartbreaking. I thought he may never get back to normal. I cried that I had done this horrible thing to him. I was really upset and talked to the vet daily, they assured me he would make a full recovery. It just took longer than I expected. Saturday morning he seemed to be back to his old self, finally!
My Miguel left this morning for Atlantic city for his job. He hates these trips, I do too. I wish I had a job that forced me to leave home and stay in a hotel by myself in really cool cities. Then he could stay here and be happy. I am a bit jealous. Tuesday is St.Patrick’s Day! Miguel be home Tuesday, so of course I am busy trying to find the perfect place to have a green beer on Tuesday. I am almost half Irish, so I celebrate into excess every year. If we stay home, I will just make my own green beer.

My Book Haul:
I went a little crazy this week. I doubt I will be reviewing all these on my blog, but they at least get star ratings on Goodreads. (click on the covers to see them on goodreads)
I got a bunch of books about my bird. That bird may be around for 20+ years, so I want to learn as much about him as I can. Yeah, I finally got Fairest! Now I just have to read the first three books in the Lunar Chronicles. *headdesk I finally started reading the Divergent series. I am about half way done with Insurgent. I am not sure if I am going to actually review Divergent. I saw the movie first so that will really affect my review.
Tonight I put together the new Read This Round Up edition for tomorrow’s posting. If you want to have your reviews and/or giveaways added, please click this link and submit them. I am always happy to get bookish photo submission for the editions. They don’t have to be new photos, so long as you have the rights to them.
