Beyond the Books is a weekly meme hosted right here at KBK. Beyond the Blog is a weekly meme where I throw out a topic (mostly non-bookish), and you guys blog about it. Come back here and share the link to your blog post, and we all have fun learning about each other. For more information and future topics click click here.
This week we are talking about An Anti-Bucket List. This is a list of things we hope never to do before we die. I think everyone has a list of stuff they want to do. That’s great, but creates a bit of pressure to actually do something.
I am feeling lazy, so this list is just stuff I hope never to do.
Go grey naturally.
If I went with this philosophy I would already look so old. So forget that shit.
Wear socks and sandals.
Where I am from, only tourists do this. That’s a fashion no-no. I know wearing socks and slides is big in fashion, but it looks so dumb. You want your feet to be a bit naked, but then you cover them with socks? Make up your friggin mind!
Wear an Ugly Christmas Sweater.
There is no way to look cool with a christmas sweater. I don’t own any of those things and wouldn’t wear them if someone offered me money. Also, I can’t stand wearing patterns.
Go to jail or prison.
I admit it, prison looks scary. So no, thank you.
Join a bowling league
Bowling is not cool. I don’t care what your parents told you. It is a really dumb sport. Look at that picture. That guy is a pro and he still looks like a jackass, and that was before he fell. The few times I have been there is always some idiot that bowls while kicking a leg off to the side. THAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU LOOK COOL.
Go on a religious pilgrimage
Following religions is totally against my religion.
Get pregnant again
Every-time I hear that someone I know is pregnant, my first reaction is always relief it is not ME.
Watch people play golf, for fun
I hate sports, but even I can’t believe this qualifies as a “sport”. You shoot and ball into a hole across a manicured field. Whoopteedoo! Sounds boring.
