I have wanted one of these since I gave one away back in March in a contest. The Icicles #09 is a handcrafted glass dildo made by Pipedream with a really beautiful blue helix design going down the shaft.It is completely smooth except for three ridges near the head and has a flat bottom base.

Don’t be scared of glass! For those of you that have never tried a glass toy this might be a great place to start. The shaft is completely smooth except for the three ridges near the head which provide a bit of textured stimulation upon entrance. The base of this toy extends further on one side which makes it more of an oval shaped base. The largest side of the base is on the bottom and faces away from the curve which makes it easy for someone to hold onto while thrusting but a bit less comfortable for solo play. I was able to get a grip on this toy using just the sides, but it would have been a bit better if the base faced the front of the curve instead of the back.

The rounded tip is very comfortable during insertion. The ridges near the head give this toy a nice sensation during insertion. The firm shaft along with the slight bend of the shaft hit my g-spot just right. This dildo actually made me squirt when I first used it. I wouldn’t call this a g-spot toy at all due to it’s lack of real curvature, but for me it worked perfectly.

Glass is the perfect medium for temperature play as it can be chilled or heated to provide lots of different sensations during play. I loved the chill of this glass even at room temperature. Glass will eventually heat up to body temperature, but it takes a while. If you like it at body temperature then you should put in some warm water prior to play.

Glass is compatible with just about any lubrication and is easy to care for. A little bit of lube goes a long way since glass is non-porous and does not absorb anything. A little bit of lube will make this toy really slick so be sure you have a good grip on it.

The Icicles #09 is so beautiful I love the blue helix deisgn that runs through the center of it.

I imagined that this dildo would be harness-able due to it’s base. It really isn’t due to it’s weight though. When placed in any harness it hangs dangerously. This kind of glass won’t splinter into a million pieces like a cup, it will break like car window glass and break into chunks. Still it is always a good idea to check glass toys prior to play and make you can sure there are no chips or cracks in it.

The flat base allows for something to hold onto and makes this toy safe for anal play. Care should be taken while thrusting this toy since it will cause bruising of the cervix or tearing of the fragile anal sphincter if it is thrust too hard. You can use soap and water to clean this toy or a sex toy cleaner. This toy can even be placed into the dishwasher for no fuss cleaning and disinfection.

The packaging for this toy was really deluxe. It was a big black and white box that show off the dildo so perfectly. It has a window flap which gives a full view of the toy through a clear window. It would make a great gift package and makes this toy easy to ship since inside the box the toy is nestle in a foam cutout.

Pros: temperature play, slim design, easy to clean toy that is non-porous and body safe

Cons: not much texture for sensation, only a slight g-spot curve, too heavy for a harness
