The Fun Factory Fou surprised me. I was expecting about the same thing as I got from the Yooo and I am happy to report that this vibe is more fun than the Yooo. I am sad that this vibe is so loud it rivals the hitachi in volume.

What the heck is it? That seems to be everyone’s question when they see this vibe. The Fun Factory Fou is an egg-shaped vibe with a chunk cut out. It is completely waterproof and has a three button interface recharges with Fun Factory click n’ charge technology. I found this vibe worked best for me by placing the tip on my clitoris, but it is also fabulous for nipple play. Of course, using the uncut rounded side it can be used for massage play and has some uses for the male anatomy as well. Miguel reported the vibes felt great on his perineum. The vibrations are deep and rumbly. The tip allows the thick silicone of this vibe to carry vibrations from it’s core to a thick flicky lip.

The silicone on this toy is pretty typical for Fun Factory toys, it has a bit of drag and may require water-based lubrication. This toy is not really insertable due to the wide diameter of the base. The lip/tip of this vibe is firm, but still flexible enough to bend and touch the other side. This can be used for pinching, or grabbing flesh to add to the rumbly vibe of this toy. Once you put a lot of pressure on this you will loose some of the vibrating sensation, so keep that in mind. I loved using this vibe on different areas to feel different sensations.

The Fou is pretty powerful. It has 4 levels of vibrations and 4 patterns. Press and hold the (+) button for a few seconds to turn it on and then up. Press the (-) button to turn it down, hold it down to turn it off. The (*) button gives you access to the patterns at any level.The colored part of the Fou is pure silicone. The base of the Fou is smooth plastic with silicone buttons.

The charger of the Fou comes separately packaged and is interchangeable with other Fun Factory toys. This vibe is easy-peasy to charge with the click n’ charge magnetic charger. Just match up the Fun factory logo to the logo on the charger. The logo glows red when it is connected to the charger. The buttons glows when this vibe is moved and still charged. This would be great if you needed to know if it is still usable by just grabbing it. The buttons also glow while it is charging. This seems counter-productive for battery life, but whatever.

I am really excited that the Fou came with a storage pouch. It actually had two pouches, one is gold satin and the other is a stiff sheer material. Both of the pouches have drawstrings. It is like Fun Factory is trying to make up for not having any pouches by giving two with this toy. (Thank you! I will be sure to put to the extra pouch to good use.) I have to report that little sheer threads end up sticking to the silicone of this toy when I stored it in the sheer bag.

To clean the Fou just use soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. The packaging for the Fou was a bit different from what I have come to expect from Fun Factory. It was a gold colored box with a paper surrounding it. The paper comes off easily to reveal a very discreet way to store this toy, (as if the pouches were not enough). The box contained a sample of Fun Factory Toy Fluid ¹ and some instructions/warnings for caring for the click n’ charge toy. The packaging would make a nice gift box, if you knew someone that might be lusting after this item.

I personally loved this vibes power and shape but….

The Bad News: This vibe is loud, like really loud. Much louder than the Yooo with it’s dual motors and I don’t understand why. I hate loud vibrators and I didn’t notice it at first (probably due to where I was when I used it). It seems to be louder at certain angles. This vibe’s volume makes this almost the least discreet vibe I own. No way I could use this discreetly in the shower, everyone would know the minute I turned it on! Being held underwater doesn’t really muffle the sound too much, either. Also, this uniquely shaped vibe will not work for everyone. The waterproof design is great but it is not for those that just want to get off discreetly.
