I have never owned a body massage candle before. So for curiosity’s sake, and to add a little spice to bedroom play, I ordered some massage candles for review this month. Babeland offered me three Babeland Body Massage Candles to try.

The three scents I got to try were Love-Rice Flower(pink), Delight-Mango Vanilla(yellow) and Pleasure-Pashmina(blue). The wax inside each was white.  They all smelled very pleasant. The Love candle has a nice floral scent, the Delight smells like mango and vanilla, and the Pleasure has a hint of sharp menthol to it. If I had to choose one of the scents I would choose the Love, since it is a bit more subtle. The massage candles add a bit of mood lighting and aroma to bedroom play. The thing I really loved was that after the wax melts, it turns into a nice warm massage oil.

The scent of the candles filled the room after about 15 minutes. Around the same time the candles had acquired enough oil to use for massage. Despite all the warnings Miguel poured it straight on my back without waiting for it to cool at all. It got a bit messy as it dripped down the side of the container a bit. Miguel thought a pour spout would have been a nice touch. Of course, it would not be as aesthetically pleasing unless they could incorporate some sort of design into a pour spout. The oil was not too hot, it just felt warm on my skin. I imagine wax would hold heat more since it is thicker than oil, but I don’t know. We really couldn’t choose which one to use, so Miguel mixed all three oils on my back and rubbed them in. The oil was, well, oily. He remarked on how quickly my skin absorbed the oil but it left his hands looking greasy. The scent lasted long after the massage. I really liked the smell. He wiped his hands with a towel but my back didn’t feel oily at all after about an hour. It just felt smooth and hydrated. The oil did not stain my sheets at all but he did manage to keep it on my back and didn’t spill any. The delicious scent lingered until I showered it off.

I loved the feeling of the warm oil being rubbed into my skin by my lover’s hands. The candles come in either 1oz. size for $6 or 3oz size for $14. I know some soy candles go for around that price anyways, but this candle has a massage oil bonus! The 1oz. size will burn for about 3 hours and the 3oz. size will burn for about 21 hours. This product is a great addition to bedroom play.
